Hotaru lay on her bed, staring up at the shadow covered ceiling. 'Arrrrr!' she bit her lower lip in frustration. 'Why did it have to happen like that!' She thought, her mind drifting back to the park.
She closed her eyes. "Danm ghost," She muttered to herself. 'we weren't even planning to go near the park!' she recalled, thinking of the pair of movie tickets that had gone unused.
In her mind the image of the translucent girls forlorn face appeared, and Hotaru felt her anger falter. 'No, I may be sorry for what happened with Ren and Haruka-Papa, but I'm not sorry. . .' She remembered the smile on the girls face as she floated up the pillar of light arm in arm with her fiancee, 'Whatever happens, that was worth it.'
Then she remembered kissing Ren, and her cheeks flushed bright red.
She pulled the pillow from under her head and set it over her eyes. 'When did everything get so complicated?'
