"I know," Xian Pu started. She'd been trained all her life to be decisive. To act with assurance. "We - oh hell, the fat one's getting up! Hard cover!"
Fire threw herself flat; Wu Chii's Dragunov came up, barely clinking as it's bipod landed on an available rock. Xian Pu hissed slightly as her elbow smashed into the boulder she'd ducked behind; she was very glad she'd already set her Kalashnikov to fire, thus avoiding any telltale clicks from safety catches.
The large bearded biker she'd been referring to heaved himself to his feet and almost languidly produced, set safety to fire on and reholstered a large semi-automatic handgun that the trio of Amazon's trained eyes recognised as a .44 or .50 calibre Desert Eagle.
"Ranma, Logan. We've got visitors." Genma growled.
Logan smirked from where he was bunched up between his bike and a rock. "Wondered how soon you'd notice 'em fat boy."
"Less sarcasm, more buttkicking you Canadian creep."
"Bite me, fat boy."
Ranma idly pulled himself upright via his motorbike's exdhaust pipe. "Man, can't a mutt even get a decent night's sleep round here?" he groused, fishing out a cigarette with one hand as he found his pet Bowie knife with the other.
"Obviously bloody not." Genma grumbled. "Damn, this place was way more civilised back in '76. Three scents, two werewolves an' a weretiger. Gun oil, smells like that cheap Chinese army crap. Damp canvas BCU's. They're all female. Probably the damn Amazons."
"Great." Logan groused. "Psychotic Chinese warrior women. Just what I didn't need in the middle of the night."
Genma turned towards where the three Amazons were hiding and sent a .50 Action Express round through the telescopic sight of Wu Chii's sniper rifle.
"That," he said in perfect Chinese, "Was your warning shot. Come out where we can see all three of you. Oh, and incedentally, these bullets are spiked with wolfsbane."
Behind her rock, Xian Pu (who knew perfectly well she was responsible for the safety of her team) decided to....
