The room was large and extravagantly decorated, especially the large canopy bed. From it a nude female form rose, stretched, pushed her long black hair back over her shoulders and walked across the room. Stepping up to the windows she casually looked out, taking in the buildings that her room was high enough to see over, and the cars in the streets below. "Yes, I was away for a long time indeed." She said to herself. "But I'm back."

She turned from the window, and started across the room, when suddenly she stiffened. Whipping her head around she stared at the wall, her eyes tracing something beyond that she could feel. 'Hecate, such a life force! And. . . In this age only mutants show such life force, but even from here I can't feel any trace of that. It's pure life energy!' she blinked. "And it's coming this way." She walked to the window, looking out and down. There was a car approaching down the street. The pure energy she had felt was inside it, and she realized that the car was also radiating the familiar energy of her fellow queen, Emma Frost.

She narrowed her eyes. "Well, whoever it is I'll have to learn more. With that much life energy, I'll have no need to feed for a hundred years." Turning from the window, Seline, the black queen of the Hellfire club strode into the adjacent bathroom.

"Frost and the others might make whoever it is harder to claim, but that life force will be mine." She commented as she turned on the shower.

Frost blinked as she saw Ranma stiffen. "Is something wrong?"

Ranma laughed nervously. "J-Just felt a weird shiver down my spine, like when you can feel someone planning to attack you but can't tell where."

Emma blinked, and glanced at Ranma. "Really. . ." She turned her head back. 'strange description.' "Well, no fear of attack here. It may not look it, but the club is very well protected." She grinned as turned the car into the Private parking beneath the New York branch of the Hellfire Club. 'Yes, no threats to you unless we wish it.' she thought to herself.
