Darkstalker- Shinji: Dinner Time [Episode 100581]

'What's happening to me?' Shinji thought as he stirred the contents of the pot in front of him. 'I mean, it was an accident, but somehow I just didn't want to stop until Misato opened the door. . . And Asuka. . .'

Shinji dipped a ladle, and raised it to his lips to take a taste. Then he blinked. "What the?" He glanced at the jars on the counter, then picked up the one with Powdered Wasabi. "Must have gotten stale. Just a little more should do the trick." He commented as sprinkled his food and started stirring.

Misato glanced at Shinji, then at Asuka, noticing how they both avoided eye contact with each other. 'Hmm, should I pry, or should I just watch. . .'. With a grin she picked up her chopsticks and picked up a little of Shinji's latest creation. She paused noticing Asuka doing likewise. 'Well if it isn't affecting her appetite it can't be that bad.' And popped the food into her mouth, and started chewing.

Then stopped.

"HOT!!" Asuka screamed as she dropped her chopsticks and grabbed her throat. Misato grabbed her open can of beer and immediately tried guzzling as much as she could.

"What?" Shinji asked in confusion. Reaching out with his chopsticks he grabbed a little and popped it into his mouth. A speculative expression on his face he chewed. "It's not that hot."

"Have your taste buds died? It's Inferno level hot!" Asuka screamed, then grabbed her emptied glass of water and ran into the kitchen toward the tap.

Shinji reached out with his chopsticks and sampled another mouthful. As he chewed, he contemplated it with a puzzled expression on his face. 'Maybe there is something wrong with Me.

Shinji lay on his bed looking up at the ceiling. "What's happening to me?" he asked the darkness. Not hearing any answer, he closed his eyes and let himself fall asleep.
