ANDFR: Some Things Dark And Dangerous [Episode 10129]

It seemed to be a normal day like any other. Appearances could be deceiving.

Things were about to occur that were completely beyond 'normal' though.

Changes beyond this scale had happened before though. First a little bubble in brane-space had created a 'big bang'. Stars had exploded, creating heavy molecules of such exotic things as oxygen and carbon as they had aged and gone out with their own bangs. In comparison to such things, this was hardly noticeable.

It was, after all, a small and insignificant planet orbitting a fairly unremarkable yellow sun in an unfashionable spiral arm of a pretty typical galaxy. That amino acids had formed, becoming eventually self-replicating things called organisms and eventually became fairly complicated structures wasn't apparent until you got fairly close. On a cosmic scale the fate of those structures wasn't even noticeable.

Of course, if one WAS one of those structures, then things like that had a tendency to get noticed. Yet, for the moment, the events that would eventually alter the lives of each and every one of those individuals was not noticed.

People got up from their sleeping areas, refueled themselves in some culturally and biologically derived manner, then prepared for their day's labors. It didn't matter if you were a factory worker in Munich, a ninja of a hidden village, a teacher in Seoul, or a high school student in Tokyo - the basics of human existence remained unchanging in some respects. People were born, people died, and people had to put up with all sorts of garbage in between those times.
