Salusian 1/2: Same Tendo Household, Same Tendo People, But A New Tendo Time! [Episode 102770]

by Proteus

For a moment Nabiki wondered if she should just decide to take the safe way out now that the mass destruction to property buffer –aka Ranma Saotome- no longer existed and just get out of the district before everything was reduced to rubble. Then just took a deep breath, and counted to ten. Okay Nabiki calm down. After all it’s not like I was ever in any danger.

“Besides, Ranma may of gotten rid of most of the trouble,” Nabiki told herself. “But he also brought most of it with him too. I mean, Ryoga, Shampoo, that Ryuu guy, Mousse, Ukyo. Yeesh, it seems like the only thing Ranma didn’t bring down on us was Happo-…OH CRAP!”

For the first time in a long while, Nabiki let a shiver of terror run down her back. Happosai, Ranma wasn’t around and that meant Happosai would have free reign of the house. Ever worse, without Ranma around to attract other super powerful martial artists… there was no one that she could get to get rid of the demonic little troll.

No wait, a thought even worse than that entered her mind. Whenever Happosai had ended up using some corny love potion pill or mind control stuff, it had always been to get back at Ranma or pick up girls. But somehow Ranma always managed to mess up his plans, even if it was only on accident most of the time. But without those nearly impossible to duplicate se of events… Nabiki could walk downstairs to find an entire harem catering to the bastard. Plus, judging by the way he always like girls who resisted him more than others, Nabiki wouldn’t be surprised to find Akane as the head serving girl.

“Nabiki?” Kasumi’s voice came from the other side of the door before it creaked open to let her sister dressed in nightgown in. “Nabiki it’s later, what’re you doing up shouting at this hour?”

“Kasumi tell me something,” Nabiki demanded after zipping over to her sister and grabbing the elder Tendo’s arms in a death grip. “Is Akane okay? Is the house in one piece? Do we have panties in our drawers have they all been piled in one room?”

“Huh?” Kasumi asked in that usual clueless way.

“Never mind that, what’s Happosai up to now?” Nabiki replied.

“Who’s Happosai?” Kasumi asked.

Nabiki quickly opened her mouth to respond… when the final question Kasumi asked caught up with her. “W-What?”

“Who’s Happosai Nabiki?” Kasumi asked before feeling her sister’s head. Well, she didn’t have a fever, maybe it was just a nightmare or something. Nabiki was the one to get them most when she was a little girl, but ever since their mother had passed away there hadn’t been anything like this. “Is he a new friend of yours?”

“Wait, you mean you say you never heard of him?” Nabiki asked hesitantly, careful not to hope too much that he had been run over on his way to the dojo somehow by a steamroller… many times.

Kasumi just shook her head with a face still full of confusion.

For a moment Nabiki just stood there processing the information. No Happosai meant… she’d escaped! Okay, maybe there were a few more things that could cause some trouble, but the nuclear bomb had bee avoided so quite frankly Nabiki didn’t care if all three of those Musk morons came looking for wives next to a thousand Amazon warriors wanting to go on a kiss of death killing spree. No Happosai meant no more morning gropings, no more missing bras and panties, no more danger of becoming a dirty old man’s drug induced slave!

That being the case, Nabiki decided to let her good fortune known in an uncharacteristic shout of joy. “WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!”

“Nabiki, Kasumi, keep it down in there! I’m trying to sleep,” Akane yelled before her head darted into Nabiki’s room… causing her sister to blink in confusion.

OH right, without Ranma around I guess she never got her hair chopped off, Nabiki reminded herself after seeing Akane with her old hairstyle that Ranma’s fight with Ryoga destroyed. “Uh, sorry about that Akane,” Nabiki apologized before quickly fighting off her older sister. “And I’m fine Kasumi, it was just… never mind, I’m fine.”

“Well… if you say so,” Kasumi said as she turned around to leave the room. “Just don’t stay up too late Nabiki. I know you’ve already started the school year but the first three weeks are always the toughest since you have to ajust.”

“Yeah, yeah I… wait, three weeks?” Nabiki asked her older sister in confusion. “What do you mean three weeks? We’ve been in school a lot longer than three weeks.” Hell, finals we’re less than two weeks away.

“Oh don’t be stupid Nabiki, you’ve got a calendar right over there,” Akane replied before pointing over to the wall behind Nabiki.

Blinking in confusion Nabiki turned around to look at the paper hanging on her wall that Akane was referring to… and after looking it over she was quite certain her heart stopped for a few seconds and her throat went dry. When Nabiki was able to speak again, she could only repeat what her eyes were telling her. Oh, the month and the day of the calendar were way off, but that wasn’t what had stopped Nabiki cold. It was the year, according to her calendar… “It’s… it’s two thousand, and… twelve?” But... but, I'm the same person, Kasumi's the same, hell even AKANE'S the same as she was before Ranma showed up, so how... how is it...

That’s when the logical part of her brain had decided it had enough and quickly pressed the emergency shutdown button. Akane barely caught Nabiki’s unconscious body before it hit the floor.

“You know on second thought, maybe she should stay home tomorrow,” Kasumi mused to herself while Akane put Nabiki back on her bed.
