My name is Kintaro Oe. I am a 25 year old carefree worker.
Right now I am back in Tokyo, following the advice of a friend. She told me of a haven of urban wilderness in the midst of civilization, a place where old ways and codes of honor were still respected, a garden of streets where beauty blossomed without control, like wild flowers.
Enthralled like a moth to the call of the flame of knowledge, I pedal towards the streets where this savage district is contained within the order of the city.
As my friend told me, there is a lot of work aviable for those with a courageous heart. Hints of destruction are scattered around the roads; most of them were already repaired, but there were still many things to do.
I helped an old couple to repair their roof. It amazed me that they just wanted to repair it weakly, even after I told them that I didn't mind working more. They told me that it ensured that the roof would also break there the next time, without damaging anything else as the room under it was mostly empty. I guess that it is an odd way of using that old saying: "The chain allways breaks at the weakest link". Learned something new.
When I asked them about the frequent fights that caused this, they just told me that "It's Nerima", as if that answered the question. Maybe it did.
Looking for more jobs. Repairing things is interesting, but it is also very depressing because the short life of the repairs. Most people doesn't want to work here, despite the fact that no one besides the fighters ever was hurt. The only collateral damage were the streets.
It was hard to decide which one to take. Whose amongst all those would reveal what I was looking for? Being the assistant of a young doctor? The role of sweeper at the local school? The place of a servant inside a noble house? The...
But my wanderings were cut short when I saw her
