Diverging Paths: How Traing With Happosai Could Have Gone A Little Differently [Episode 103258]

Genma Saotome was many things to those who knew him, even just a little bit. A lazy slob. An arrogant sloth. A petty thief. A womanizer. And above all else, a fool. But none who knew him as a martial artist would deny that he had great talent in the fighting arts. In many circles, Genma had been reguarded as something of a martial arts prodigy. But it was also well-known that he could not keep his training up for very long without slacking off.

And that was why Happosai's training worked. He brooked no descent from his students, forcing them to train by giving them obstacles (upset shopkeepers and righteously furious women) which they had to avoid if they didn't want to experience extreme amounts of pain. Happosai really only agreed to take on students when he was bored with his normal routine, looking for something else to do, something else to keep him entertained.

One night, fed up with the horrible treatment he recieved at Happosai's behest, Genma challenged his "dread master" for ownership of the Anything Goes Ryu. Normally, Genma would have lost badly, returning to the usual routine immediately after. This night, however...
