Katsuhito sat in the Masaki shrine's office, drinking some tea, and meditating about his grandson's problems. He felt that the main problem with Tenchi was that he lacked practice dealing with women. Menaces from outer space? No problem. Rampaging robots? Well, just last week, Washuu's 'Lawn-mower No.1' (or at least that is what it had originally supposed to have been,) had almost taken over the house, and Tenchi had dealt with it with ease. It was the same when it came to aliens, monsters or ghosts.
But put him near women, and most of Tenchi's skills and confidence fell apart. Now, to his credit, he was still relatively young, and the two women he generally had to deal were ususally (and at least nominally) fighting over him. Since either of those women could easily level a city block or two without breaking a sweat, dealing with them while they where upset took some courage and skill. The problem was, half of those fights should not have been allowed to begin in the first place! Then again, Ryoko and Ayeka had been at it almost all day, every day, for most of the last two weeks. Tenchi had been in the mist of mid-term exams, and had not been able to give the girls much of his time, so they were more than a bit frustrated.
Of course, a little peace and quiet around the shrine every once in a while would not hurt either. Maybe it was time to give Tenchi some intensive training in women management. Today, after dinner, would be the perfect time to make the announcement.
After yet another one of Sasami's delicious dinners, everyone was about to get up and go their separate ways, when katsuhito cleared his throat and decided to make an announcement. "Listen everyone! Tenchi has been working very hard in school lately, and hasn't had as much time to spend with us as he would have liked. Fortunately, his exams are now over, and since tomorrow is Sunday, there is no school so he can spend his time with us. Now Tenchi wanted to make this a special occasion, so he asked me for some suggestions as to what to do that you girls would enjoy, and I suggested that you might like to visit Shibuya and do some shopping for local fashions. Does that sound OK with you girls?"
