"I see." the professor was saying, "That's quite a story. You did the right thing by reporting this." Then, directing his attention to Natsume and Kurumi, "And you girls are very brave, not many would've had the resolve to flee such an awful situation. It saddens me to know there are people who believe that Pokegirls don't have rights as we do. Speaking of which, what was that Tamer's name again?" he asked them.
"Katsuhito Jinnai." Natsume said.
Adjusting his glasses a bit, Tofu sat at his computer and began typing. "Hm, let's see." It wasn't long before the crooked Tamer's file appeared onscreen. "Ah. Katsuhito Jinnai, age seventeen. According to this, he's from the Shinogome Ranch, but he isn't the rancher's son."
"He's not?" they chorused in surprise. "But... but he said... " Kurumi sputtered.
"Seichiro Shinogome is the current owner, but he doesn't have a son." Tofu read a bit further. "It gets worse, it seems Natsume wasn't intended for Jinnai at all. She was meant for another Tamer."
"Who?" Natsume wondered.
"Makoto Mizuhara. But there was a change at the last minute and you were given Jinnai instead. What's interesting about it is that the decision was neither authorized or finalized by the administrator's office."
"Meaning?" Ryoga asked him.
"Meaning, Jinnai not only lied about being the rancher's son, it seems he falsified documents to gain possession of Natsume as well. The question is, why?"
"Well, she is pretty cute." Kurumi said with a naughty grin, causing her sister to blush and have to squeeze her thighs together. "Ku-ru-MIII.... " she whispered between clenched teeth. Ryoga failed to pick up on the implication, but it wasn't wasted on Tofu, who's ears turned beet red.
"Ahem! Yes, well. I'm sure there's that too." he smiled with his eyes closed. Then, turning serious again, "However, I think there's more to it than simple attraction. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll come out eventually." he said.
"So can I keep them?" Ryoga asked hopefully.
"Well, it's a bit unusual, but I don't see why not. Consider it done." the professor smiled. Typing away at his computer again, he registered both girls as being Ryoga's and authorized his official Pokegirl Tamer's license. "And you'll be needing this." he added, handing him a compact device much like a Gameboy Advanced DS. "It's your Pokedex. " he explained.
"Cool!"
Coming from behind his desk, Tofu placed a hand on his shoulder. "There's just one more thing you need to take care of." he said.
"What's that?" Ryoga wondered.
"Now you have to Tame them." Ryoga's eyes went wide, he forgot about that part! Behind him, Natsume and Kurumi smiled, eyes closed, in eager anticipaton.
"So who will it be first?"
