Twin cries pierced the air just after that simultaneously.
"Oniichan!" "Oneechan!" (NA: For the uninitiated: respectively 'Big Brother' and 'Big Sister', in an informal, more familiar form of Japanese.)
Suddenly Umino and Naru were all but tackled down by the two girls blabbing a hundred word a minute. Lilith had but a second to get away and not be turned into lolicon Popsicle by Amy's powers, still not all that controlled. Only the fact that Naru ALSO controlled Ice saved her from a really _nasty_ ice burn as Amy hugged her tightly.
"OniichanIrememberyouItrulyrememberyouYoudon'tnowhowImissedyoubutnowyou'reback…" Usagi spoke happily between tears while hugging Umino tightly to herself. She … loved Shingo, really did. But Aarion … the bond they two shared was a lot older and much more profound.
Umino just held her 'sister' back, too happy to bother. "Its Umino now, sis. And … yeah, I've missed you too …" he replied softly. A hand on his shoulder brought his attention back to the rest of the world.
"Welcome back, my friend. Welcome back." Was Mamoru's only words. Aarion had been a good friend. He and Serenity had even planed on having him as his best man at their wedding. Maybe now I can make good on that plan … he thought with a smile.
"Its good to be back, Endymion-hou." He replied. (NA: In a rough translation: Lord Endymion.)
"Now, none of that! You're not only a servant, you're a friend and part of our family." Mamoru rebuked smirking.
Umino smirked back. "All right, I'll _try_. You're still my superior officer you know? AND I'm Usagi's Man-at-arms AND servant of the Aesland Line. If I treat you guys with too familiarity how can I gave respect to our other retainers?"
Some feet away, Haquim smiled to himself while standing guard for his Princess. His Princess allies were strong indeed, of arm and heart, and would be of great help when she returned to claim her rightful throne on the City of Brass. They treated their servants fairly, which would bind them more loyally to them then by simple oppression. The young incubus, even though shared blood with his Mistress Mistress, did NOT used it to rise unfairly in the ranks or claim special treatment. It spoke well for him. And her, for not doing it anyways … Maybe he and his mate would be worthy allies in the battlefields ahead of them. For he didn't need any special power to know that there would be many rising against his Princess and her allies. Well, more fuel for their fires … he though, smirking darkly at whoever fool would even make the attempt …
Naru's surprise at the sudden hug the ice-maiden gave her was rapidly disappearing as something of her babble became more coherent.
"OneechanisrulyyouYoudon'tnowhowImissedyoubutnowyou'reback…" Amy spoke smiling through the tears that fell, freezing in twin tracks on her face. She was an only child on BOTH lives, but even if she considered the senshi her sisters anyway Velinda was special. She WAS the sister she never had during the Silver Millennium and having her back now was too good to put in simple words.
Naru's memories flew over her memories of the Millennium. Only one person of the senshi called her 'Big Sister' … "Mira …" she whispered, looking at Amy. "It's you …?" she questioned softly, her voice almost breaking.
"Hai, its me. I reincarnated as Mizuno Amy, sister." She replied smiling.
"I…I didn't knew …" she softly spoke into Amy's dark hair. "But you're right. It IS good to be back …" she said, tears of happiness finally falling from her eyes as she hugged Amy fiercely back.
"Hum … I'm sorry to interrupt this moment, but I REALLY think we should pool our knowledge together and take stock of what is going on." Interceded the Elder Hino.
Releasing Umino and turning back, Usagi nodded, looking at everybody. "As much as I hate to, I have to agree with you Grandpa." She said. "All right, let's get back inside and see if we can put some order in this confusion …"
The senshi looked a little surprised for a moment at this show of responsibility by their lieder, but then began entering the temple proper. The others fell in just behind them.
Some hours later …
They had finally updated their last arrivals with the bulk of the story. Their Darkstalker heritage, the Silver Millennium, their rebirth and tribulations against Beryl, Ail & Ann, the Death Busters, even Galaxia. Elder Hino, Dr. Kaori Mizuno and Aino Millennia retold their stories. Jon Talbain, much to his surprise, found himself trusting that people enough to tell of the pact with Morrigan to find her errant daughter. Felicia told of her brother phoning her and asking her here. Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling were more or less wandering when they crossed paths with the cats and decided to join them. Umino and Naru spoke of how he found the mirror and it awakened then, while returning it to Michiru ("It really belongs to you. Sorry for stealing out but … I was really desperate …" Umino said a bit ashamed). Michiru forgave him.
They talked long into the night, trying to forge some common ground so to know how to deal with those new threats coming their way.
