Ukyo had to admit, she was impressed. "Wow, Nabiki. Jetta wasn't kidding when she said you would heal really fast."
Nabiki, the only sign of damage left on her being a fading limp, winced at the memory of her 'training.' And winced again when she remembered that Jetta was probably headed towards the dojo to continue said 'training.' Training that seemed to be less oriented to teaching her to fight, and more towards teaching her to ignore 'minor' things like getting chopped in half...
Ukyo flashed the mercenary Tendo a smile. "I'm just glad I'm not the one training with Jetta."
Right there and then, Nabiki figured that somehow, in some way, she would get Ukyo involved in the training as well. Let's see how she deals with trying to complete that obstacle course after her legs had been chopped off.
"It looked like fun! Can Nuku Nuku play with Nabiki tomorrow?" The android cat girl chirped. The other two looked at her a moment.
"Um... I'll have to ask Jetta-sensei..." Nabiki mumbled. She'd witnessed what Nuku Nuku considered 'playing' before. Even as a Jagwere, she wasn't sure she would survive it.
Which meant that if asked... Jetta would probably agree, wholeheartedly.
Then a shorted blond girl leapt in front of them, clutching a huge gun that looked like a combination rocket launcher and machine gun. "Now I have you, Nuku Nuku!" Eiimi cried, then blinked, seeing Nabiki there too.
"Aha! You as well, Nabiki Tendo! I'll get both of you in one shot!" Nabiki groaned, while Nuku Nuku brightened.
Ukyo wondered if she should start running. When the girl depressed the trigger and a dozen missiles launched from the guns muzzle, she decided the answer was, yes, she should run. So she did just that, picking up Nabiki and Nuku Nuku along the way.
"Aww..." Nuku Nuku pouted. "But Nuku Nuku wanted to play with Eiimi-chan!"
Ukyo just boggled while running, and boggled again when Nabiki said, "Go ahead, Ukyo. Drop Nuku Nuku."
Not one to argue with the Ice Queen, she did so. Nuku Nuku bounced back toward the little maniac, casually dodging the explosives.
Four blocks later, Ukyo set Nabiki down. "Okay, what's their story?!"
Nabiki thought about charging the girl, but decided against it - anyone who lived in Nerima for a couple years knew this story. "Nuku Nuku's an android with the mind of a cat. She's more than capable of surviving anything Eiimi throws at her."
"And Eiimi would be the blonde?"
Nabiki nodded. "Yep. She's an android too, but with a human mind. But Eiimi's body has some flaw in it that might cause her to explode, so she wants to take Nuku Nuku's body instead."
Ukyo blinked... but then decided that that actually made a sort of sense. Then she worried about what that said about her own mental state. "And this Eiimi has a grudge against you... why?"
This time Nabiki rolled her eyes. "Got me. I'll be sure to ask her sometime when she isn't lobbing around ammunition in my general direction..."
Ukyo considered the smaller werecat for a time. "Nabiki."
"Yeah?"
"I pity you."
Nabiki grimaced. "I'd pity me too..."
