Ranma blinked at the doctor's words. "Ya mean ya got other guys tryin' ta do this?"
"Not yet. We do have other candidates and units, but yours was the first attempt to get one to function. Now we'll have to see if others can do what you have and get these lovelies to work."
"So... They're gonna have ta do... 'xactly what I did?"
"It did work, didn't it?"
"Well... yeah," the pigtailed boy confirmed, though he still sent a sheepish glance at the feminine figure standing with him. "But are ya sure that it'll work for them?"
"We can't be sure either way until we try it. But we have no reason to completely reject trying it. Who knows, maybe we'll get more couples like you two."
"URK!" Ranma choked, his face going white at the comment. "Why did ya call us that?!"
"It seemed simple enough. You are a boy and a girl. Maybe 'pair' for now?"
"Yeah... sounds good."
"Hmmm..," murmured Makoto as she woundered what being in a couple with her sempai would be like.
Sighing heavily, Ranma tried not to hang his head. "So, ya got other guys to try this?"
Doctor Saiga's voice carried through the room. "We have to ask them to. And our first candidate is a young man by the name of:
