"You've been through a lot lately Ranma." Nabiki said. "Let's go to the travel agency and get away from it all."
"Together?"
"Sure. You are technically my fiancé. If the Amazon, the chef and the gymnast can hang all over you, I can certainly steal you away for your birthday."
"All right." Ranma said reluctantly. "But I don't want you spending none of your money until I spent all of mine okay?"
"Suit yourself, Saotome." Nabiki said leading the way through the revolving doors.
"Welcome to the Enchanted Doors Travel Agency." The woman at the desk smiled, the white of her teeth contrasting with her dark skin and pointed ears. "If I can have your names please we'll start a preliminary check to see how best to serve you."
"I'm ah Tendo Nabiki." She said trying to puzzle out the young woman's species.
"And I'm Saotome Ranma." He nudged Nabiki and mouthed the word 'Drow'.
"All right, and is this together or separately?"
"Together." Nabiki said quickly.
"All right. If you'll have a seat over there, it will take a few minutes for the preliminary report to come back, then someone will be available to help you."
"Thank you." Ranma said leading the way back to a desk. A few moments later a black and white catgirl took a seat behind the desk.
"Ranma, Nabiki. My name is Celes and I'll be helping you get the most out of your Enchanted Doors experience. How are you today?" She asked offering a hand.
"Um, surprisingly calm since I'm afraid of cats." Ranma said shaking the offered hand before sitting down.
She turned to a monitor. "Ah yes I see. 'Ailurophobia brought on by repeated psychological trauma. See also Neko ken.' Very horrible." She tsked. "Anyway, here at the EDTA, we have to anticipate and eliminate all issues that would hinder us in giving each customer the best service possible, and I could hardly give you proper service with my client hanging from the ceiling. Now then, given your overall available finances, Karmic values, and Destiny merits, we currently have two packages available for you."
"Kinda skimpy lineup." Nabiki said.
"Nabiki, hush. This kinda thing can't be cheap, and they also mentioned Karma and Destiny. That's hard to measure and harder to control." Ranma said. "Please continue, Celes san."
"Ranma is right, Nabiki. I must also remind you that this only a preliminary report. We're still collecting all of the data. Do you have any questions about either package?"
"Okay... Might as well take it from the top. Pleasure Principles?" Ranma said
"Ah yes. That package is oriented for... mature audiences. You two would be the sole occupants of a world that has a... notable effect on your libido."
"Very interesting." Nabiki said as Ranma began turning the vague description over in his mind. It would lock down the instant he realized what the trip was about so she decided to move on. "And the Seventh Heaven tour? We don't become Kami, do we?"
"No, no." Celes said with a smirk. "Seventh Heaven is another name for paradise. The clients, you two, are sent to a paradise world. It won't be easy. Nothing there will hurt you, and you'll have everything you need to survive, but it's some assembly required. You'll have to work to make it work."
"Sounds like a challenge." Ranma and Nabiki said in unison. "I like it."
"I thought you might." Celes said. "Hmm. Ranma, today is your birthday, correct?"
"Yes. 19 today." Ranma said. "Why?"
"Well in addition to giving us an excuse to serve our customers cake, you get a Genesis bonus."
"Okay, I take it that's a good thing?" Ranma asked.
"A very good thing." Celes said. "It entitles you two to a few more options."
"Okay, so what are we looking at?" Nabiki asked.
"Well, since we've given you two a chance to play, how about a chance to work?" Celes said. "Our Enchantment Unlimited package is perfect for those looking to bring a little magic into their lives."
"I dunno." Ranma said. "I've had a fair amount of experience with magic, not all of it good."
Nabiki smirked. "But wouldn't you like to have a little control over those forces for once in your life?"
"Well, yeah. I guess it'd be nice to at least understand what's been coming at me."
"If knowledge is what you crave, perhaps our Esper's Odyssey package might be more to your liking. Through rigorous training, mystical studies, or merely communing with nature you can unlock formidable mental abilities." Celes said.
"I've always believed my mind was my strongest weapon, Ranma. Yours is certainly your fastest. Imagine what we could do if we really put our... heh heh... minds to it."
"Anything else, Celes san?" Ranma asked.
"Well, I don't know if you might be interested in it, but you're also eligible for a generic Magical Warrior package. Foreign world, powerful and cunning enemies, magical transformation, that sort of thing."
"Can you guarantee that I'll be male?"
"Huh? I don't see- Damn, Jusenkyo. Sorry Ranma. No promises on that one." Celes said apologetically.
"Can you blame me for asking?" Ranma grinned leaning closer to confer with Nabiki.
"We've decided." She said when they broke away. "We'll take-
