Tabula Rasa: Making Friends [Episode 106844]

Befriend might not have been the most hardcore of commands, but it would work for what he'd planned. It had to have been quick, and rather vague, but he had come up with it when considering just who he was matching them up with. Saotome was a good soldier and young man, but he was somewhat withdrawn, and was in need of expressing himself more. And hopefully in the process of pulling him out of, or at least lessening his depression, they would relearn emotions again. They might never get back who they had been, but perhaps they might return to thier humanity this way.

Besides, it had been better than his first instinct, which was to seduce Ranma. That had been a joke, and though he'd put it there as a joke, he'd removed it right after. At least he hoped he'd remembered to get rid of the remnants. Still, even if it was still in their minds anywhere, they'd have to deal with the boy's reluctance in that regard. "I can see that's bad, but why point that out?"

"You do realise that they won't eat or anything without someone telling them to do so? If you make them a schedule, they'll stick to it to the minute. Perhaps even the second."

"That bad, huh?" the pigtailed boy asked. "Just goes to show how screwed up that thing really is."

"Well, they do have some self preservation... put in. After all, they wouldn't be worth anything to the Machine if they starved to death, but they will need to know where to eat."

"Great. Anything else I should know?"

"Yeah. Keep a watch on what you say," Natsume replied, "They'll probably take it literally, as they do consider themselves machines. So, if you tell one to do something, they might just do it as directly as possible, and we don't want them getting into trouble because of it. I can remember a couple of times with Nuku-Nuku..."

"Ahh... Got ya. Rather not have that."

"Good, and maybe when this is all done, we'll have a chance to find out about their pasts."

"Hope so..."

The Professor gave the young man a grim smile while:
