Akane was feeling a bit ashamed of herself. She and Ukyou had played Scissor, Rock, Paper, and she’d won. And then she’d chickened out. Instead of choosing Ryouga, and proving she was ready to handle whatever a guy could do to her to Ranma, she’d picked Nabiki.
She gave a sigh, “oh, well, by the time Nabiki gets through with me anything a guy could do will be a relief. Think of it as anti-aversion therapy, Akane.” She drew a deep breath, and then said. “Beware, evil queen. Mars is coming to toast your ass.” she then got down on hands and knees and crawled into the duct.

“Are you afraid of the dark?” Ukyou read. She was standing in front of a janitor’s storage closet, the door was propped open with a mop, and she could see a trapdoor in the bottom of the closet, and the top of a ladder leading downward. She couldn’t see anything else because it was pitch dark below. “Venus is not a school girl. The monster under the closet does not bother her.
Venus started down the ladder.
Mars emerged from the end of the duct a dozen feet above a floor made of bamboo. Casually lounging on a deck chair and sipping from a sliced pineapple was the evil queen-general. Dressed in a dark green military uniform, her light green hair framing her face as she sipped on a straw. A pair of sunglasses covered her eyes.
“Aha!” I have you now, villain! Prepare to face the fire of retribution!” Mars shouted, dropping lightly from her perch. The evil queen took no notice. Instead she picked up a lurid romance novel and began to read.
Mars face turned red. “Hey! Big speech here! Final showdown time! Would you listen to me!” she yelled. Frustrated, she took a step forward, and ran into something.
“Ouch,” Mars said, stumbling back. More cautiously she stepped forward, hands outstretched. She encountered a solid clear barrier. And started running her palms over it. It didn’t take her long to determine she was inside a four walled inclosure about eight by eight feet. The walls were made off some sort of clear plastic.
General Evil pulled down her sunglasses slightly and peered over the top of them at Mars. “How tiresome, we’ve been invaded by Mimes.”

Ukyou climbed down into darkness. The only light was coming from the small square at the top of the ladder, and with the holiday lighting on in the school, that was faint even at the top. It seemed very far away by the time her foot touched down.
She cautiously stepped away from the ladder and moving with her arms outstretched she felt her way along. There was soft soil under her feet, and every now and then her hands would touch the rough bark of an artificial palm. ‘Where are you, Youma? You don’t scare me.” she called out.
A twig cracked, and Venus spun in place. Her eyes widened. Not eight feet away were a pair of huge glowing eyes, at least as big around as her fist. A second later, they blinked, once, twice, and then shut and did not open again. “Ok, now maybe I’m a little scared,” Venus whispered.
