Ranma decided jto try the program on someone else--but not do anything to them. It could be magic, after all--magic was something he *had* heard of. Not wanting to type any more English, he moved the mouse cursor round, and when he reached the left, the screen opened out into a graphical display.
It showed pictures of people he knew in no particular order, with a list of words and checkboxes by their side. Ranma read some of the words. Wait a minute, that was a picture of Akane, yet it read "male"?
Ranma, though he rarely showed it, sort of liked Akane and would never want to turn her into a guy, so he clicked on the "female" box.
A box came up: "Is subject satisfied with being female?"
"Of course," said Ranma. "Akane don't wanna be no guy." He picked "yes."
Unfortunately, Ranma didn't exactly understand the GUI, and he failed to notice that the words didn't match the picture at their right, they matched the picture at their left. That's why the box was originally set to "male"--it didn't go with Akane at all. In fact, Ranma had changed the sex of....
