A few minutes later he was back. "Um, any idea where she ran into this sorcerer?" Ranma nervously scratched the back of his head.
Nabiki smirked at Ranma's obvious embarassment. "Smooth, Saotome. I think she said it was near the high school to the west of here."
"Ah, ok," Ranma said. "I'll, uh, just be goin' now." Ranma dashed out the door again, on his way to avenge Akane's horrible, yet humorous, transformation.
----
Several miles west of the Tendo household, Kitanohashi High School stood empty on this lazy summer day. Empty except for the small group of brightly dress students on the roof gathered around one of their number with a rather startling problem.
"Really, sempai, cursing someone just for knocking you down on the street. And not even getting the spell right!" Nanaka Nakatomi admonished her club leader.
"Ah, I think it makes Takeo-kun look cute," the effeminate Ayanojou Aburatsubo said as he scratched his club leader behind the ears.
"Grr... would you stop that, Ayanojou! Rawf!" Takeo Takakura barked. "I know what I did wrong! Arf! Just follow my instructions, and I'll be back to normal in no time! Rarf!" Takeo tried to still his wagging tail as he struggled with his new body. Damn it, having another guy scratch you behind the ears wasn't suppose to feel that good!
"Sempai, you're not in any pain are you?" Sae Sawanoguchi asked in concern.
"I'm fine, Sawanoguchi-kun. Arf!" Takeo reassured his clubmate. "Let's just cast this spell and get me fixed. Grrrrr"
Takeo shook off Ayanojou's hand and moved over to an already drawn magic circle scribed in chalk on the school's roof. His appearance was a curious one. Accidently hit by the backlash of a curse he had used in a moment of anger, he was stuck halfway between being a man and a dog. A long, furry tail waved from his backside. His face half potruded in a snout, and his ears had moved to the top of his head and become dog ears. Fur covered most of his body and he found himself dropping to all fours whenever he started to move fast or run.
The rest of the club members gathered around the circle too, including the fifth and final member, Akane Aikawa, who had been silent up until now.
When everyone had gathered around the circle and he was sure he had their attention, Takeo spoke. "Ok, we're going to do Alexander's Aura of Anulling. Arf! Concentrate on thinking of me as a man, and not as a dog! Bow!" Takeo glared at the others, except Sae, who were trying to stifle giggles. "If you're done laughing at my misfortune, let's begin!"
The group began to chant words of power. Archaic syllables filled the air and tiny motes of light sprung into existance within the circle of power. As the spell neared conclusion and the groups' chanting voices rose together, a rather rude interuption made itself known.
"Hey! Are you the freak's who cursed Akane!?" a loud, angry male voice called breaking the groups' concentration. After all, they were suppose to be the only ones up on the roof today.
As the group turned to look toward the interloper, the spell surged. "Don't lose your concentration! Arf! Keep focused on the spell! Aroo!" Takeo tried to keep the group focused, but it was too late. Power surged as the half cast spell suddenly exploded in a blinding flash of light, obscuring from sight everything on the school's roof! Girlish screams could be heard for a moment before the blinding light cleared, revealing...
