"Force of habit," Kodachi said. "I'm not used to being welcome in most places."
"There might be a reason for that," Xavier said wryly.
"Well, I used to be insane," Kodachi admitted.
"I know," Xavier said, unsurprised. "It's constantly on your mind."
"That's how you knew I was here," Kodachi said quickly. "You're a telepath, how interesting. Dr. Tofu didn't tell me that."
"That's probably because he didn't know," Xavier said. "By your memories he said that he had met some of my students, not me."
"Would it be possible to simply ask me questions," Kodachi asked. "Rather than boring the answers out of my mind?"
"Perhaps next time you'll go into a place by the front door," Cyclops said.
"Sounds as if someone's pride was hurt," Kodachi said. "Don't worry, I had change course almost a score of times before getting in here. That is very tight security."
"Miss Kuno has a precognitive sensory ability," Xavier explained to Cyclops. "A danger sense of a sort. It is how she avoided all the security devices about the mansion. If she weren't actively looking for me, I might have missed the faint signal and she'd have gotten in undetected."
"What is she here for?" Cyclops asked firmly, looking to Kodachi.
"Miss Kuno?" Professor Xavier said. "I'll let you answer this one."
"I am looking for training," she said. "I fear that I have some holes in my skills and that it may be cause me problems in the future."
"And..." Xavier smiled slightly, urging her to continue.
"And...," she sighed and shook her head at the prodding. "I was also going to speak to you on behalf of Spider-Man as well."
"You're not considering this are you?" Cyclops asked.
"Yes, I am considering it," Xavier said. ""It would be a good idea to encourage some interaction with non-mutants, but I fear that my training will focus on the applications of your powers, though you and Spider-Man seem to be handling that well enough as it is."
"So, I am to assume that mean that there is little I can gain from training here," Kodachi said.
"I wouldn't say that," Xavier said. "But you probably won't get what you are looking for."
"I'll consider that," Kodachi said. "Thank you."
Xavier nodded and then spoke again.
"In any case," he said casually. "The path you've chosen gets lonely at times, and if you want to discuss matters with people that are on the same path, then our gates our open to you."
Charles leaned forward a bit and smiled knowingly again.
"But call ahead next time," he chided her playfully.
