When Kasumi Tendo, the eldest of the Tendo sister and main caregiver and chore performer of the household, opened the door to collect the milk, she did not know what to make of the strange boxes. Shrugging, she picked them up and brought them into the dining room.
The scene was a typical one, Ranma and Akane were eating quietly, a large bump on Ranma's head indicated he had yet again said or done something to invite Akane's anger unto him. Across from them, Nabiki Tendo read the morning newspaper while sipping some tea. Soun Tendo and Genma Saotome (currently in his cursed panda form) were in the next room, starting their daily marathon of game playing uncharactistically early, While Ranma's Mother Nodoka was gone for the day, out doing some shopping.
Kasumi smiled sweetly, as she was prone to do, and gently placed the boxes onto the table. Ranma and Akane looked at the boxes with some interest.
"Hey Kasumi, what are these things?" Akane asked, Picking up one of the boxes.
Kasumi shrugged, "Im not sure, they were out there this morning, with no sign of their owners, so I brought them in."
"You shouldnt have done that Kasumi!" Ranma muttered, cautiously looking over the other box. "This could be some sort of trap, probably from that old ghoul or Kuno or something."
"I dont think so Ranma, these dont look like anything Kuno or Cologne would use." Akane said, putting the box down. "I wonder how we open them."
The boxes, having been built by AIM, were of course as cutting edge as their contents, and responded dutily by opening and revealing their contents: row after row of tiny palm sized glowing cubes.
"Hmm, Interesting..." Ranma said, picking up a box and looking at it, "Hey Nabiki, check this out."
Nabiki looked up briefly from her paper, but didnt show much enthusiasm for the contents of the box.
That is, Until Ranma turned the box upside down, and they started pouring out...
And kept pouring out...
for five whole minutes.
by the time the box was empty, the floor was completly covered with the little colored cubes. Nabiki and Akane just glared at Ranma.
"Uh, sorry?"
Akane steadied her own hand, resolving to kill Ranma after she had picked up the boxes and put them back into the crate. Ranma, feeling guilty, decided to help.
Of course, touching the boxes with ones bare hands was the trigger to activate them, so Akane and Ranma were in for a big surprised when they reached out to pick them up...
