Great Distracted Will: Happosai's fate & the Will removed [Episode 10956]

by Kestral

Happosai suddenly felt something twist and before he knew it -

Nabiki-maid was hanging a hapiko on the line next to Akane-throwrug.

Ranma blinked as he realized what he'd been doing. Well, he would have to fix that. In the meantime though...

Fifteen minutes later he had finished putting things back. Well, more or less.

One thing had naturally led to another.

Ranma had wanted to know. Then he had wanted to be able to handle all the information passing through his head. Of course, he'd had a few side effects on the local reality with idle thoughts in the meantime. After that he'd started to improve himself bit by bit. As soon as he recognized a limitation or problem with himself, it was eliminated. Once his intellect had been sufficiently expanded, he'd determined something.

It was inevitable.

The error that had resulted in his empowerment would be corrected. He would either return to normal with no one realizing what had occurred, or he would simply have the power removed from him without the retroactivity.

Did he want to return to clueless bumbling and inadvertantly hurting not only himself but those around him?

No.

That having been determined there only remained what to do about it.

Putting into place a method of re-enlightenment was simple, moving it back in time prior to his receipt of the Great Will somewhat more tricky. He'd be without the raw power of the Great Will itself, but he would neither be powerless nor quite as naive or stupid as he had been. If his memories of everything were erased, and his empowerment made Never Happened - the ball would have already been rolling to gain him this backup.

As for if it was simply yanked from him, any changes he made in the meantime would be essentially static. He wouldn't have access to the continually expanding intellect and knowledge he was drawing on, but he would be considerably more than he had been.

Would it best to become a god himself? To put aside fragile mortal life in favor of new vistas and new responsibilities. If so, the honor arrangements and ties of the past would be gone - for that was essentially a rebirth.

Perhaps a powerful sorcerer? It would be an interesting change to have one's life as a master of magic compared to mastered by magic.

Or a superhero? Instead of dealing with his current problems, doing something impressive with his life? Making a difference in a way that he would never even have considered prior to his enlightenment?

Of course, he could go the other route. Supervillain/evil sorcerer/major demon. It wouldn't be very enlightened but it would give him some personal satisfaction.

Hmmmm. Ranma made his decision.

Just as he'd predicted, the Great Will was lifted from him 3.78 minutes later.
