Ranma Allita: First time's the charm... [Episode 109868]

by TheCentauress

Ranma reached the ground floor and stuck her head into the kitchen area. “Morning,” she greeted the young woman who was making the breakfast.

The girl in the apron glanced over her shoulder. “Good morning yourself,” she replied to the black-haired cyborg. With a quick, well-practiced motion, she brushed an unruly wisp of hair from her brow. “Breakfast is almost ready. Could you set the table for me?”

The young heiress to the Saotome Ryu grinned. “Alright,” she answered. Suiting action to words, she turned to the china cabinet and quickly gathered the necessary items, as she remembered how she arrived at this house, less than a year ago…

Two women stood upon the sidewalk, looking at the household in front of them. The elder of the pair, a violet-haired woman with a slight matronly look to her, put out a hand and leaned against the sign declaring the family name of the residents. “So, Ranma,” she began in a hearty tone, not even caring of the rain plastering the mane of violet to her shoulders, “we’re here to have you meet your… partner.”

The younger of the pair, just sighed and placed a hand over her face. “Okakun,” she growled, “Sensei explained this to ‘ya. I’m a girl, near as he could make me. I’m meant to carry children, NOT MAKE THEM!”

Onna-Genma straightened, using her precious few centimeters to attempt to loom over her daughter. “It’s for family honor,” she hissed.

The sixteen year-old pulled her hand from her forehead and glared at the older woman, steam rising from the fingers. “Pops…,” she growled in response.

The older woman shrunk back slightly, cowed. “It was a promise made between the Saotome Clan and this one,” she responded, tapping her knuckles against the placard she had rested against. “This family has a long and honorable history, which our own, ahh,… somewhat lacks.”

Ranma smirked. “That,” she chuckled as she lowered her steaming hand, “is all your own fault, Okakun,” she chided.

“Regardless,” the current Master of the family Art carried on, “this is giri, child. If it is possible to create an Heir, the pledge must be carried out.”

All the younger woman could do was sigh and nod, commited to this foolish plan by her own body and it’s abilities.

Sitting in the bedroom with her three possible fiancées, she cleared up the misunderstanding engendered by her oversized fool of a parent. “… and so, because of the nanomachines my body is made of, I can have a child with either a woman or a man.”

The youngest of the trio was visual in her response. Her face blanched slightly as her lips thinned into a line. She bobbed her head, acknowledging the possibility of what might happen.

The eldest was silent as well, but the blinking of her eyes betrayed the thoughts flashing through her mind as well. Her nod was more jerky; yet at the same time there was a bit less of the hesitance shown by the youngest.

The remaining woman smirked. “Could be worse,” she confided. As the other two stared at her in slack-jawed shock, she continued. “You are really built well.” She waggled her eyebrows slightly, then ducked the pillows that were thrown at her.

Ranma finished laying out the table. Yeah, it coulda’ went better, she decided in her mind, as the remaining members of the two families began to filter in. All in all, though, it was about what I figured.

The other two girls sat in their usual spots, flanking her own position, while her currently-female father sat at one end. The third girl began to bring out the food, so Ranma sighed and stepped to the hallway door.

“It’s time fore breakfast!” she called out in a loud voice. “Time to wake up…
