"Wait," Sora interupted, "Are you telling me that it's up to me? Only me?"
Leon shook his head, and answered, "Of course not. You will not be alone. You will gain friends. With those friends, and with the help of realization, your heart will become stronger."
"Realization? What does that mean?" Sora asked curiously.
"It's really something that can't be explained. I'll have to let experience tell," Leon said simply.
Yuffie suddenly broke in, "Sorry to break up the party, but someone's come to crash it!" She pointed at the table, and just then a Heartless appeared.
Narrowing his eyes, Leon called his gunblade, and then called to Yuffie, "Go to Aerith!" She nodded and ran into the next room. Sora heard a crash, but there was not time to wonder. Leon made quick business with the Heartless by slashing it, and sending it flying through a window. He jumped out after it, and Sora quickly followed.
When the Heartless below are dealt with, Leon turned to Sora and said, "Look, we could fight these Heartless for all eternity and get nowhere. We need to find the one that's controlling them. If we do that, they'll weaken and become disorganized."
Leon ran off. Figuring that he knew what he was doing, Sora ran after him. They made their way through Second District, and ran down the alley, fighting many Heartless along the way. They just kept coming. Sora saw firsthand what Leon was talking about. As they got nearer to Third District, the Heartless appeared more, and in greater numbers. This did not seem to slow Leon down at all. Sora, however, slowed down a little, trying to keep up with the Heartless.
