Golden Destinies: Vr. 4: Kavorkian Scarf [Episode 109984]

"Aaaaand... we're done."

"Fianlly," Ranma muttered as she shrugged on her tank top. The Agency Zero employed nurse that had been giving her the complete physical, for the werecat's girl side, that is, gave her a warm smile as she left the room, so that Ranma could get back her clothes and dignity.

She shivered, though it wasn't that cold in there. And all this time, she thought that that first physical that Tofuu had given her was bad! Granted, he only did it to her boy form; she never allowed him to check her girl form, no matter the arguements that the good doctor had given her.

Of course, the only reason why she allowed this one was so that she could keep her job, as it was pretty much required, no matter what age, gender, nationality, or species the employee was. Ranma never quite realized just how many non-humans actually existed, much less in high ranking government jobs.

Like herself, she though mirthlessly. She as already strange enough, what with being part cat, master martial artist, and from another dimension, but now with the gender bending curse back...

She had to be thankful that her "family" didn't reject her. Sure, Theo was feeling guilty, since the blast that had started the chain of events which led to the curse was meant for him, and Gina was a bit wary of him/her, but Britanny, the one who mattered most, didn't mind. She was somewhat scared at first, at least until Julia showed her the "let's watch Ranma transform by dumping water on him!" game.

A knock on the door knocked her out of her reverie. "Are you decent?"

The werecat rolled her eyes. Great, M. "Yeah, c'mon in," she responded, pulling up her pants.

The former superhero quickly entered the examination room, then rose an eyebrow at her. "We must have different ideas of 'decent'," he remarked, gesturing to the fact that her tank top didn't exactly hide much.

Ranma rolled her eyes at her employer while putting on a button up shirt. Not long after he was taken in by Theo and Julia, Agent M had offered him a job at the Agency. After all, with that little fiasco Xane caused when his original idea of having her watch over him went bust, he figured that this would be a hell lot easier. Ranma probably wouldn't have agreed if he hadn't had guilty thoughts about "freeloading" on the people that had taken him in.

Damn extreme sense of honor.

Of course, he also didn't realize that, thanks to Theo's and Julia's days as dungeon crawlers, and Jonathan's seat of the Mage Council before prematurely dieing and being instantly revived as an evil undead mage, they had a crap load of capital.

"Yeah, whatever. What's up?" she asked. M offered himself a chair, and sat down facing his employee.

"I've went over your 'de-briefing', and there's just a few questions I wanted to ask."

Ranma sighed as she finished buttoning up the shirt, and sat down of the examination table. "Can't we just go over this after I get some water?" M raised his hands in a misguided attempt to placate her.

"This will only take a few seconds. First, the matter of you being... cut loose from your goddess. M just knew that that was weird, even for a former superhero. "Does that mean that you'll be leaving any time soon?"

The redhead frowned as she thought, then shook her head. "Nu-uh. I'm stickin' with Brittany, gotta make sure she's tough and all that. I still owe Bast that much," she answered with much conviction. Sure, she was pissed that her curse was back, but hey, Bast did save her ass again, according to the hyperactive messenger god; of course, the main reason was because the little cheetah girl managed to worm her way into her heart. "It's prolly best that I keep livin' here, since this is her world and all."

M nodded, still disturbed about the entire time travel/dimension hopping concepts; it was just as confusing as that damn Pong thing. "All right. That takes care of my second question, too. Now, for the last question." The g-man leaned forward, looking intently at Ranma. "Remember the talks we had, about your breed?" he asked, inciting a groan from the weresmilodon. M just insisted on trying to talk him into "fathering the new werecat race", even recommending some people that could help; it was almost like he was trying to pimp the werecat out!

"FOr the last time, no more," she responded in a voice that she hoped would make this final.

"Hear me out," M said in a stern voice, causing Ranma to blink. M never did that. "Your goddess, and, apparantly, any other gods that may exist, are out of the question, if you are true of another world, then there's no real chance of you getting back.

"So you have to plan for the future. It's only been about four years so far, but we're talking about a lifetime! Now, you've just had doors opened to you that were closed before! You just can't walk away from this," M insisted, staring intently at Ranma. Ranma, mesmerized by the almost commanding voice and the seriousness surrounding her boss, almost agreed.

"Ok..." she began, uncertainly, "So what doors are ya talkin' 'bout?" M leaned back in his chair.

"We're not exactly sure how the breeding of weresmilodons will actually work, since you're the first and only. Chances are, it will be like other werecats. Of course, you're a product of divine intervention, whereas the other types of weres, as far as we know, were created by mortal magic. Either way, if we had both a male and a female specimen of the weresmilodon race, then we could figure this out, plus double the chances of breeding."

Ranma stared at him as she worked this out. Loooooooong seconds passed, before something struck her. "Wait... you're trying to get me pregnant?"

M shrugged as he adjusted himself. "Well, I admit, it is somewhat strange, but if you think about it..."

Outside of the room, a loud thump alerted the medical staff to a minor problem. Rushing into the room, they discovered a certain Japanese woman throttling one of the higher ranked agents, choking him with a blood pressure cuff. While the doctors and nurses struggled to seperate the two, with the woman shouting what were most likely obscenities in Japanese, an agent, standing at the reception desk, looked over at his partner. "Looks like Ranma got pissed, again."

The other agent looked surprised. "Wait, I've met Ranma. You've met Ranma. Ranma's a guy. She's," accentuating the word witha finger pointed at the stuggling woman, "a girl."

"You didn't hear? Ranma got turned into a girl," the agent said easily, leaning on the counter. "Besides, how many Japanese agents have a temper, and strength, like that?" His friend nodded in comprehension and agreement.

A few moments passed before the second agent asked, "Should we help Boss out? He's looking a bit blue." The first agent looked at the currently suffocating ex-hero, who was being ignored by the medical staff in favor of avoiding being flung by an irate werecat.

"Hm... yeah. That cuff doesn't look too comfortable."
