He walked down the halls of Kyuden Hida in a his own world. He day dreamt of the wonderful future right in front of him for the taking. He looked forward to of a thousand nights of passion, his love for his new bride, children, their long life ahead of them.
Nothing could ruin his good mood.
“Hida Ranma, I challenge you!”
Well, almost nothing…
The Wild Horse of the Crab slowly turned around to look eye to eye with the Unicorn Battle Maiden Moto Akanyo. The Moto Maiden was literally fuming, her eyes speaking of pain. Give the tainted Unicorn O-Ushi’s hammer and he’d be back in Nerima. Just wonderful...
Running behind her was her fellow Unicorn, Utaku Xian. The Shampoo look alike was physically spent, probably from trying to keep up with the vengeful Moto. The look on her face spoke of exasperation. Apparently she was not overjoyed with this concept. He could sympathise.
Ranma sighed, and with no lack of exasperation in his voice asked the Unicorn, “What is this about?”
Ranma swore that he could see a vein bulge in her forehead as she screamed, “What is this about?! WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?!” She gritted her teeth and drew her sword. “You dishonorable barbarian! You know damn well what this is about! You disgraced me on the field! You attacked me from behind to deny me my quarry!”
Xian sighed and opened her mouth, but was cut off by the raging Moto. “Shut up, Utaku… this Crab has shown his clan’s true colors, dishonorable, colors and I’m going to deal with him!”
Ranma’s head hurt as his memories of Nerima and Crab temper began to flair. Was it in his karma that he ALWAYS had to deal with ignorant, loud mouth tomboys? Now this stupid bitch was not only disgracing herself with this childish display, but was questioning is honor and insulted his clan. He dealt with this crap in Japan, there is NO way that he’d deal with in Rokugan, and especially NOT on his own lands and in his own home!
“Such childish behavior is not befitting a Samurai,” commented Kakita Korin, as he entered the room in an attempt to escape O-Ushi and Ruri’s advances. This broke Ranma’s train of though. Kuno? Oh joy. Just what he didn’t need.
He shook his head, and sighed. Best not jump to conclusions.
“Crane-san,” grumbled Ranma, “I thank you for your assistance, but I believe that I should handle this.”
“I apologize, Hida-sama,” replied Korin with a bow.
Ranma sighed and looked Akanyo in the eyes. He’d deal with this diplomatically, in the richest of Crab traditions. “Now listen to me you reckless, ignorant little horse-bedding bitch. I saved your life. Like a true idiot you were charging directly into an army. AN ARMY. You would have died, if you were not tainted first. Tell me, do you want to kill the tainted Moto or do you wish to join them?”
Akanyo’s face turned red and she opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by Ranma. In a deadly tone he said, “You are dangerously foolish. I am surprised you have even completed your Gempuku. You fight like a spoiled child. I will duel you, if you still want. I’ll even let you chose what kind of fight we have. Iuijitus, niten, a good old Crab style free-for-all, anything...”
