What wasn't exactly the same was the way that they were going on about it. Clothing was in sorted piles, with similar garments together. Makeup was placed in ordered positions that gave both easy reach, and a reduction in the possibility of mix ups.
And the conversation would be odd as well.
"This bra will likely give Neptune unit the proper bustline," Venus said as she held out said garment.
Neptune took it and slid her bare cleavage into it before examining the results as throughly as possible. "Affirmative. Preffered look has been achieved, and no strain is noted.
"And it does not seem to be heading towards interference with neccessary duties," Pluto observed. "Neptune Unit will not have bust interfere with movements, nor distract during work."
Having decided on that garment, they moved on in their own... unique take on the 'dress up party'. None of them had any taboos any more, and they had just never considered doing anything other than the direct route. They knew that humans had rules for that sort of thing, but they also had a self image of being machines, which meant that they saw it as simple upkeep.
Of course, Ranma was lucky that he was in the shower at the moment.
Especially when they had been discussing the more... intimate matters of appearence and body care.
Tracing his friend was hard for Genma, and would have been nearly impossible for anyone else. He knew how Soun thought, how he fought, and how he reacted. Tricks that would have frustrated other trackers were seen by him, and figured out easily enough. Planning styles didn't change that much, and neither did basic fighting. Provided that the man didn't lose it, or decide to suddenly change his basic strategies, it'd mean that he'd be able to find him eventually.
And he'd found his first clue. Still not knowing what had made him do so, he had crept down into a basement, and realised that he had found a small bag. Bringing it back up with him, he found a safe spot and began rummaging through it, noting the female purpose items in it. But what caught his eye was the picture of his old friend standing in front of some trees.
That, combined with the direction that they were heading told him what was likely going on. Many might have considered Tendo's destination to be the more heavily built areas of the city, but if he knew his old friend, the man was likely to have gone for the mountains. There were caves there where one could have proper cover, and were isolated enough that the Machine wouldn't have much in the way of patrols. They'd have to hunt and forage, but they'd be alive, and pretty safe from the Machine.
He just hoped that they'd either made it, or were still on the way. All around were destroyed homes, blasted cars and damaged property, so just moving from place to place would be dangerous, never mind getting food and supplies.
In fact, there was even a rather large to do that had obviously occurred nearby a while back. There had been some sort of chase, with the machines letting loose with their weapons, and someone running, but it wasn't quite clear who was doing what. His friend could have been running from them, chasing them to fight for some reason, or not even there when it happened.
Which made it all the more aggravating for him as it was hard to read signs that had been put there months earlier.
But he wasn't about to give up on his friend. They'd been through the hell of their training together, and survived. The two of them were as close as brothers, and he wanted some certain knowledge of what what had happened, one way or the other.
Giving a thin lipped frown, he continued on Tendo's trail, still carrying the bag while:
