Chained World: Umi, Fuu, Hikaru [Episode 111464]

by Kestral

Things had not been going well for the three girls. They'd managed to be suitably heroic but in the last battle against their foe, they had been expelled from Cephiro even as they finished her off.

On finding themselves near the Tokyo Tower, they'd seperated and tried to go back to their own lives.

They hadn't realized until far too late that this was not their world. Neither Umi, Fuu, nor Hikaru had any home or record of their existance. After confrontations at buildings similar to their homes, they had fled, returning to Tokyo Tower.

They had been arrested, the lack of their documentation turning up, and they had gotten processed. A tiny little adjustment had been authorized for the three girls, as their talk of alternate universes and magical giant robots had been dismissed by a captain as some group delusion or prefabricated story. Three vagrants who'd already caused some problems.

Of course, the sort of person who ran the clinic was a bit perverted but completely professional. The little mental adjustment was followed by a couple of hormonal ones. From there they had gone through orientation, fitting, and sent to an auction house.

An hour later, a bureaucrat had noted that the vagrants without a past had been successfully placed as servants and were now officially Umi, Fuu, and Hikaru - slaves of one Ranma Saotome, a wandering martial arts student. The bureaucrat was a slave himself, and having grown up in this world saw nothing wrong with it. He merely made a folder marked "Saotome, Ranma" and put the three sheets of paper within, stamped them, and put the folder on a shelf before turning to the next one.

"So, can any of you cook?" Ranma asked.

"Yes," agreed one of the girls. "I can cook, at least some, Master-san."

"We can learn," suggested the aristocratic looking one.

Ranma nodded. Even the full-use slaves had laws and rights and protections - he'd never had a slave but he'd heard about them over the years. He had to make sure they ate and got their breaks and downtime. He had to provide them their clothing, and as girls he also had to pay for their makeup. They got one day a week off, and there were holidays that slaves got off and the country practically shut down as most government workers were slaves.

"You get Saturdays off, you get Sundays off, and you get Mondays off," said Ranma, pointing to each of the three in turn.

"We don't have many outfits," pointed out Umi with a frown. "Just the clothes we were wearing when we were caught, plus outfits they gave us after that doctor saw us."

"We were put down originally as mamluk," said Hikaru, "but they changed that to Unskilled."

"Well, I don't need no bodyguard types," confessed Ranma. "I do fine on my own. What kinda fighting you do?"

"I know some kendo and kempo," said Hikaru.

"European style fencing," said Umi.

"I was considered a pretty skilled archer," confessed Fuu.

"Maybe we'll spar later," said Ranma, thinking this could have its benefits.

Hikaru exchanged a glance with the other two as Ranma went off to discuss with his father their lodgings for the night, and which hills looked best for a camp-out.
