"That is probably the stupidest trick I have ever heard of," Ukyou said tightly. "We can't all be his sisters. We're all practically the same age."
"Is not true," Shampoo said. "Crazy girl is almost year younger than all of us."
"Okay, I'll accept that Genma could have had an affair with Mrs. Kuno," Akane said.
"I am not a bastard!" Kodachi insisted again.
"This is Ranma's stupid idea, isn't it?" Akane insisted of her sisters.
"I'm afraid not," Cologne's voice said from the window. "When I realized why Miss Tendo had been asking so many questions of Mousse of late, I did some investigating of my own. All of you share a father."
"No, no," Ukyou said. "This is some sort of Amazon trick they've got Nabiki believing."
Akane blinked.
"What did you do to my sister?" she demanded of Shampoo.
"Shampoo do nothing to mercenary girl," Shampoo snapped.
"I took some blood samples," Nabiki said weakly. "Had them tested. All of you are related."
"Once I knew to look," Cologne added. "There were several items I had access to that confirmed the theory as well. I checked many ways and many times."
She sounded a bit disappointed, but at least mildly satisfied. Nabiki assumed that the additional blood for her tribe mollified her a little.
"I'm not a bastard," Kodachi repeated, somewhat weakly and uncertainly.
Cologne starred at the gymnast for a moment and then turned to Nabiki.
"Could you go fetch your sister for a cup of tea," she asked. "I fear the little one is not responding too well."
"Uh, sure," Nabiki said, taking the opportunity to flee for her life downstairs.
"How is this possible?" Ranma demanded.
"Give me a moment to look over Miss Tendo's notes to fill in the gaps," Cologne said. "I only tested for blood bonds, I didn't research the history like she did. Ah, here we go."
"Well?" Akane asked, dreading the answer.
"Nodoka Saotome and Kimiko Tendo are easy, they live nearby and conceived at nearly the same times," Cologne said. "It is easy to assume the father could get to them both. About a month after the time they must have conceived, a trading caravan was forced to stay in the village for a week. I remember the okonomiyaki was very good. Ukyou and Shampoo were both conceived in that time period. As you said, Kodachi was conceived almost a year later. Your science and my amazon lore both confirm the five of you as siblings."
"I can't believe my mother would...would..." Akane said.
"Ranma mother, maybe," Shampoo said.
"Hey!" Ranma snapped...after the second to figure out what Shampoo had said.
"There has to be some mistake," Ukyou said faintly.
"I'm not a bastard," Kodachi was practically whispering by now. Akane looked to her almost pityingly and forcibly laid her down on Nabiki's bed.
"There has to be a mistake!" Akane shouted, repeating Ukyou's comment.
