"Yeah! What if we don't WANT a fiance?" piped up Bubbles.
"Or what if one of us DOES want him?" voiced Buttercup.
With a start, all three girls caught onto Buttercup's last statement, and turned to eye Ranma speculatively.
Genma, having actually made some planning for this situation, decided it was an appropriate moment to go into his spiel:
"Why, my son is a prize catch for a fiance! He's honorable, honest, kind, caring, and a true hero!" he started off, recalling his target audience, "Plus, he's the best martial artist of the generation, I mean, he's practically got super powers!"
"mmm... that is a thought," Blossom pondered aloud, "After all, those date attempts we've been having were rather... bad," she thought as she remembered that time she'd tried to go out with a normal boy, when Townsville went through one of it's almost daily chain of disasters. That had been an experience in rushing back and forth from the date to saving Townsville, occasionally getting interrupted at cruial moments (like getting emergency signals just as they were going to hold hands, and his asking what movie she wanted to watch as as a petrol tanker was catching fire), and had ended when her date got blown up by Mojo Jojo and spent the next months in multiple casts.
"Yeah... someone powerful enough to keep up with us sounds nice," thought Bubbles to herself, thinking of the times she had dates collapse, once from her bringing her date on a flying trip in the clouds, one had almost drowned when she wanted to swim with the dolphins in the Atlantic, one was unharmed but traumatised from the African Safari Petting Zoo type outing... the list went on a fair bit too.
"And someone on the side of good!" mused Buttercup, recalling the time she coereced the girls into attempting a group date with the Rowdy Ruff Boys... that had been a blast, for a while, but that had eventually gone wrong on sooo many levels...
Which I'm planning on flashbacking to when the Rowdy Ruffs come into the scene for Ranma muscling in our their girls!
"I'll take him!" all three girls piped up simultaneously; then turned into a bit of a staring match. "Hey! I saw him first!" "Yeah, but I like him more than you do!" "You were against this whole thing from the start!" "You said you were going to get a boyfriend in the Teen Titans or something!"
"OKAY! STOP!" Blossom finally went into command mode, "Girls, looks like we'll do what Professor Utonium has always told us, and share."
Bubbles and Buttercup looked at their sister, at each other, at Ranma, then back again.
"Okay!" "Deal!"
"Whoa hold on a minute girls!" Professor Utonium began, "I'm glad you three know the value of sharing, but this isn't one of those things that..."
"Well, why not, Professor? After all, getting married means loving someone, and being happy together, and having kids and bringing them up, and and... and all the good stuff you talked about, right?" Bubbles interrupted, raising her hand for attention.
"Yeah, Professor! We'd want to do those things together anyways, like always, so why not share the same husband? Then we can be together all the time, instead of breaking us up!" Buttercup pointed out.
"Then it's settled! We're the Power Puff Girls, and no one's breaking us up, ever! So, looks like it's going to be the four of us, fiance!" Blossom winked at Ranma.
Blushing bright red, Ranma fough over the conflict of inner emotions he was facing (confusion, pride, admiration, shock, etc etc), and asked, "Err.. that making babies part... you three want to do it together???"
"Of course!"
"We're a team! We support each other!"
"You have any experience in this sort of thing, Ranma? We're pretty used to it, but I hope you're good at it!"
As blood started to slowly make it's way from Ranma's right nostril, Buttercup said, "I wonder how long it'll take for the stork to come?"
"I'm not very good at writing letters... I'm glad Blossom will be doing it with us," said Bubbles.
"Actually, I was kind of nervous, I mean, what if he didn't like our letters, or got them wrong, like that time the Easter Bunny brought me chocolate eggs instead of the cream ones I asked for?"
Blinking, Genma pulled Professor Utonium aside and asked, "No sex ed whatsoever?"
"... I just... well, I tried to... well... NO."
"mmm..." Genma mused. In a way, this was better than what he had hoped for. With three times as many super-powered offspring down the road than he had hoped for, and all the girls willing, even eager, his plan seemed to be doing better than he had even dreamed off. Why, knowing Nodoka, if this went well, it would more than offplay the fact Ranma turned into a girl. Of course, if she heard that he hadn't done the dirty with them even after they were all married... that didn't bear thinking about.
Still, they didn't have to do any of that until they were married, so, for the moment, things were excellent, no, make that EXCELLENT!
Ranma blinked to himself as he tried to figure out... well, anything, really.
