What made everything worse was the fact that he wasn't exactly welcomed in Japan, despite the fact that he was a native there. Of course, he was also from several centuries in the past, but still. The thing was, it wasn't even his fault that he was deported!
... kinda...
"Whaddya mean I hafta leave?" Inu Yasha asked angrily to the black suited man who withstood the shout stoicly, even when Kagome assisted with a glare. The man whipped the spittle away from his shades, and looked back at the half demon.
"Quite frankly, you're causing too much trouble. The only zone where regular violence is permitted without authorization is Nerima, and you're being charged with multiple charges of high property damages."
"This is ridiculous!" Kagome shouted. "Let's see these bogus charges!" she demanded. Swiftly, a stack of papers was pulled out of the g-man's jacket, and he leafed through it.
"Let's see... there was one instance where you and Mr. Hibiki destroyed around twenty million yen worth of property in the Akihabara district..."
Inu Yasha glared at the man. "Hey, that idiot started it, calling me 'Ranba" or whatever!" The man ignored him, and continued.
"... Property damage in the Tomobiki area when you harrassed the resident aliens there..."
"That's not fair; he was only protecting me after that pervert groped me!" Kagome protested, blushing as she remembered that particular incident.
"... Destruction of Tokyo Tower..."
"That damn jumble of metal gets destroyed every week!"
"... Destruction of various areas in the downtown Tokyo area due to unauthorized use of a 'Rent-A-Zilla'..."
A series of blinks were exchanged between the duo. "Huh?"
"... Assault against various vigilante crime fighting units, most notably the 'Sailor Senshi'..."
Now the white haired boy was pissed. "Aw come on! Those nutjobs attacked me with no reason, man! Throw them out of Japan, not me!" he screamed in the government official's face. Kagome, however, starred intently at the man.
"You know, this is probably an issue of race... specieism, right?" she said. THe man shook his head, though now a trace of nervousness could be detected.
"Of course not; we know that Mr. Yasha is interested in going to college," this seemed to baffle the man, and the half demon as well, who was only going because Kagome suggested it, "so the Japanese government are more than willing to offer a free ride scholarship to any college that is willing, just as long as the college is not in Japan; in fact, we already have a college in line. Also, they are willing to ignore your 'crimes' as long as you don't stay in this country or time period." Kagome blinked, very surprised, while Inu Yasha blinked, totally confused.
"So, you guys have no prob with me being alive or whatever, but..." Inu Yasha began.
"Basically, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here," the g-man finished, holding another stack for the two to see. Kagome took the stack and leafed through it, eyebrows rising in surprise and interest.
Inu Yasha growled as he was finally able to navigate through the high security and highly confusing process of getting his damned luggage and leaving. Sure, he wasn't exactly sure what was going to happen once he had made the decision to stay in Kagome's time with her, but this...?
Then he sighed. And Kagome was going to a college over in Japan, an ocean away... Then again, Kagome had said that she would try to transfer over to his university as soon as possible. If not, then at least he was allowed to go back to Japan for a month before being chased out again.

Meanwhile, the new female victim was arriving on the scene. Say hello to...
