Magic King Ranma: Gnome need to panic? [Episode 112479]

"Behold the power of the Portable Blades of Destruction 'Version 2.1'!"

Unlike the illfated Portable Blades of Destruction 'Version 1.0' (which had had the fatal flaw of releasing its blades at the user's head level upon deployment) Version 2.1 opened up two feet higher over the gnome's head. With four six foot long metal blades sticking out from a central shaft.

"How did that fit....?!"

"We no knows either, Mister Bosses Father."

"Gnomes, attack!!"

The head gnome pilot grinned as he pulled the ripcord to start up his weapon and his fellow gnomes followed suit.

VMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

Of course, being gnomish handiwork, this led to a rather predictable result.

"Hey look, they're flying!"

Indeed they were, short little arms windmilling about as the gnomes struggled to force themselves back down, totally missing the simple fact that all they had to do was take off the packs in order to stop their inpromptu flight.

And then the first gnome ran into a tree.

Or rather, his pack's blades did.

Fortunately the blade didn't cut all the way through the tree and send lethal splinters flying everywhere.

Unfortunately, the blade got stuck.

Fortunately, the motor in the pack didn't explode.

Unfortunately, Newton's third law of Physics kicked in. The one dealing with equal and opposite reactions.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Ranma was torn between wanting to laugh at the sight of the gnomes as one by one they encountered the same problem as their leader and turned into spinning tops and pity for their plight.

"We should help them, don'cha think?"

• The Gnomes are grateful for their rescue and apologize, new allies made!
• The Gnomes still want to continue? At this rate there won't be any gnomes left to ally with!
• Nodoka takes things in hand. Diplomacy requires a woman's touch.
• Another party intervenes, are they friend or foe?
• Meanwhile, what else is stirring in the now reviving land?
