"Affirmative," Ami agreed, "Research will be needed in order to complete mission."
"Query. Would not situations of intimacy neccessitate closeness in other ways?" put in Hotaru.
"Logical."
"Subject Ranma Saotome appears to react to certain stimulus with immediate defensive strategies," Michiru pointed out.
"That adds the unknown factors to his actions in regards to the quartenary mission," Haruka commented, "If units were to make an immediate offer, then subject's reaction would not be predictable, and could result in failure of objective."
"Then perhaps units should focus on the tertiary mission. Befriending subject would result in more possibility of a success," Hotaru said.
"And perhaps would allow for an observation into his reactions in regards to the other mission objectives."
"Precisely."
"Then it is decided," Usagi said, "We shall research and implement the objective of 'befriending' subject Ranma Saotome, with quartenary mission to follow."
"Then we should move as quickly as possible to succeed in all objectives," Minako suggested.
"Affirmative," agreed all the other units.
"Direct confrontation is prefered action," Makoto said, "But does not seem likely to work."
"Then we shall find outside resources to provide data, as well as using simple questioning to find out subject's reasoning," Ami said. "Until then, we shall continue with area maintenance."
The other units confirmed this, and seperated to do what they were supposed to.
Ranma scratched his head and wondered just who could have splashed him. He was used to such things, having been around guys who hadn't seen a girl for a long time. That they would have been able to see a really attractive girl had been something that they hadn't been able to get over, and he'd been splashed more times than he'd wanted to count. So, he'd... 'explained' matters to the other guys, and now he only got splashed occassionally, and usually just by accident. And the come ons and requests for personal time together had dwindled to mostly just new guys who hadn't found out who the 'hot redhead' really was.
But it didn't mean that he'd ever gotten to enjoy it, as all the attention just made him want to stay as a guy. Still, once in a while he got a joker who would think that it would be a good idea to have a stacked girl running around. He didn't think that one of them could get to him past the girls, but he also wasn't sure that it couldn't have been one of them.
After all, he still didn't understand girls, even if they were mechanical ones.
Sighing, he went to go back to what he had been doing while:
