"I remember her as well," Kali said. "When she was 3rd class. Didn't take her seriously either. Settled for giving her a firm spanking. The last century or so she's been ambitious, though."
"Can hardly believe that girl reached 1st class," Kishimojin said. "She's too much of a goof for that."
"Well, she's our goof now," the Black One said, flipping through papers. One of her four arms reached for the coffee and brought the mug to her face. "Now I have to find a case worker for her."
"You know, I never asked," Kishimojin said. "You used to be the 'Destroyer of Demons.' Why'd you take this assignment?"
"I'm also the 'Destroyer of Ignorance,'" Kali said idly, looking through files. "And I can't destroy you any more, so I might as well help educate you."
Kishimojin shrugged aside Kali's casual attitude toward her old occupation of killing demons. After all, she was a demon, so she knew what kind of evil they were at times.
"Ah, here we are," Kali said.
"So who's the lucky candidate?" Kishimojin asked.
