"I'm quite certain the Heavens are as in the dark about this as we are," Peorth said. "So you can probably stop appealing to them."
"Man, Megumi," Chihiro said. "You need to calm down. This isn't at all like you."
"How can you be so calm," Megumi asked. "You know at least what you did right?"
"Mmmm, yeah," Chihiro said, sighing.
"You seem rather unconcerned," Athena noted, not taking her eyes off the battle outside.
"Well, I have to admit," Chihiro said. "That I never expected to end up as number six on the turnstile when I came by..." she checked a clock. "...yesterday, but, man, I certainly felt it. And it was...like getting an extra quarter of a second off of a lap time." It was said with a rather enthusiastic tone of voice as she walked into the group.
"You're not worried about how Belldandy feels?" Megumi asked in a tone both sheepish and accusing.
"Of course I care," Chihiro said, crossing to Belldandy and wrapping an arm around the goddess's waist. Belldandy responded with a small gasp of surprise "But I can't change what happened, so I might as well enjoy the memories."
"Well, I suppose that makes sense," Belldandy said.
"Though I think we wore poor Keiichi out," Chihiro said. "Next time we'll have to...ease some of the workload for him."
The mechanic leaned over and nibbled a bit on Belldandy's ear, raising a flush and another gasp from the Norn, and then sat down, before leaning back and dropping her head in Sayoko's lap, who flushed a bit as well, but didn't move to do anything.
Megumi stared in outright shock at Chihiro's outrageous behavior, and then shook her head clear. Given the older woman's attitude toward taking life by the horns and drop-kicking it, she should have guessed something like this.
Skuld and Peorth both found themselves pouting a bit as they looked at the reclining mechanic, but quickly got themselves together.
"Don't worry, I'll get around to you two," Chihiro said without looking at them.
And that got the pair flustered again.
