One meeting with the Queen had changed that.
Unfortunately for Pluto, she was currently engaged in an activity that indicated she might have some qualities in common with her subject. Namely that she had a preconceived idea and it would take being whacked upside her head with it before she noted that she had to rework that idea. She KNEW that Ranma Saotome was a martial artist, and that this was the only thing he was good at and that he would die on April 2nd, 1999. It was a stupid and pointless death, and it would serve to cause the families Tendo and Saotome to begin their slide into oblivion - with the last member of the two families dying without issue on February 3, 2011 in a traffic accident in another section of Tokyo. She had a listing of lost martial arts and the like that gave the story of the end of the Anything Goes style. Another section dealt with the destruction of the Amazon Village when the Chinese government tested one of their biological weapons in that valley in 1999.
So this would be a momentary diversion for Minako, who would then have memories of another failed relationship to accompany her in the 30th Century. Some of the lines on her face indicated that even the Makeup transformation couldn't completely hide her depression on the worst days. Minako would declare that she would join Usagi's harem as they went off to fight Galaxia, and then she'd be a fifth wheel even in that sort of relationship. A miserable fate, but it was the way things had turned out and without taking the risk of completely negating even this small chance of wiping out humanity - the way things had to be.
When she got a chance, she'd tune in and watch the meeting of Minako Aino and Ranma Saotome. It would be nice to see the Senshi when they were younger and happier anyway.
The noises from downstairs had faded.
Which left Ranma to sit back and continue reading, a window opened so that the constant drizzling sound of the rain could be heard. One of these days he'd have to fix that effect.
The teapot sang its song and Ranma interrupted his studies long enough to pour a nice hot cup of tea.
One of the things about being an Archmage was that one had to expect little side-effects. Not nearly as odd as Thorne usually got, but still - side effects.
For example there was the constant rain over his little island pocket dimension. Some variable that hadn't been closed in the complex spell. Then there were the presences in the forest. He'd summoned some nature spirits to help forest the place, and some of them had apparently decided to stick around.
Caesinoposs was Ranma's pocket dimension, and it wasn't a terribly big one as some would rate such things. A little forest, a beach, some ocean. He was still working on it, tinkering with the spells here and there.
One of those odd unplanned side-effects was something that Ranma was dealing with. Specifically, a side-effect from his adventuring days back in the Realms. A spell cast in a wild magic area left over from the Time Of Troubles had caused him to briefly experience what it would be like if he had a phobia about women instead of cats. The result had been that he'd eventually dulled down the phobia to an aversion in regard to cats, and the gynecophobia had worn off. Still, he felt a little bit of panic around women even now.
After he'd associated with them for a time, like he had with Tarja and Tajra, it was less noticeable. Which meant that there was hope for a complete cure.
Now that he had another girl staying here, he saw the need to get over that problem entirely. Magic could cause or fix problems - and one of his ongoing projects was at a point where experimentation was possible.
So he'd mixed up a potion of Extreme Gynecophobia. He'd make it a punishment detail when he was teaching, then he'd have an experimental subject for the removal of said phobia later.
He'd just have to find someone really obnoxious who deserved such a curse hitting them.
"ACHHOOOOO!"
"Master Kuno! Your hankerchief."
"How dare a cold afflict the noble scion of the House Of Kuno!"
