“You chose the wrong person to side with, Blobbo.” Ranma said. He stomped down, driving his heel into Blob’s instep, threw his head back crushing Blob’s nose with the back of his head. Ranma felt the grip loosen, he leapt out Fred’s arms in a back somersault planting his feet on the large teen’s back and shoving him towards Lance. Off balance and in pain, he stumbled toward Avalanche who had no where to dodge in the small entryway and ended up pinned to the wall.
Ranma heard a wet slurp from his left and jumped as Toad’s tongue passed the area beneath him. As he came down, Toad launched his tongue again and Ranma kicked, impossibly staying in the air another second and was about to come down hard on the green protrusion, but was caught by Quicksilver.
“How ‘bout we take this outside?” Before Ranma could answer they were out the door and down the street. Quicksilver let Ranma go and came to a sudden stop, Ranma kept going slamming through a wooden fence and a garbage pile into the middle of the road. Pietro’s smirk faltered a bit as the Japanese boy got to his feet.
“Idiot. Let’s see you try that again.” Ranma said.
Quicksilver appeared right in his face, “Gladly.” And they were off again. As Quicksilver put on the breaks, Ranma grabbed him and reversed the throw. Ranma stopped cold while Pietro went through the fence upside down.
Ranma looked through the hole the white haired boy made, to see him unconscious, “Hmm. Looks like he can dish it out, but he can’t take it.”
“Take this! Arrrgh.” The voice came from something that blocked out the sun. Ranma dove to the side as the Blob landed in a belly flop where he had just stood. Ranma made an unsteady landing as the shockwave subsided.
Ranma reached behind his back and pulled out a fan, “Come on, big guy. Let’s see what you got.”
The Blob picked himself up with ease and threw a haymaker at the pigtailed martial artist. Ranma snapped the fan shut, blocked the punch with it and spun it, throwing Fred Dukes high into the air and out of sight.
“I got him!” Toad proclaimed as he bounded towards Ranma and jumped high to land on top of Mystique’s son.
“I don’t think so.” Ranma said as he put the fan away and jumped at the last moment and met Toad in the air. A brutal second later, Toad was unconscious before he hit the ground.
“It’s time to shake things up a bit.” Lance powered up as tremors shook the earth and a wave of grass and dirt headed towards Ranma. The martial artist jumped over it, even touched off from the top of the wave to gain more altitude, “Moko Takabisha.” The blast hit Avalanche and driving him into the ground.
“Wah! Look out below!!” Fred came down and the ground shook with the impact. Slowly he got up slower than last time, but now he was angry, “That hurt. You’re going to pay for that!”
Ranma strode towards the big teen. “You need more time out!” Ranma said, and launched Blob back into the air with a high straight kick. He might weigh more than the Dojo Destroyer, but not by much.
“Time for round two,” came Quicksilver’s voice. “If you can’t touch me, you can’t hurt me. It’s twister time!!”
Faster than Ranma could see, Quicksilver started running circles around him creating a tornado and Ranma was sucked into the vortex. “I’ve been here before too. Hiryu Korin Dan!” The Dragon Descending Crashing Wave hurdled Quicksilver off his feet, but with his momentum, he went back through the fence again and into unconsciousness.
Ranma touched down as Wanda came out of the house, “Woah, looks like I missed quite a party.” Three craters, one still smoking, and the Brotherhood were all unconscious with Ranma standing in the middle of the yard, only his clothes looking worse for wear. “Jeez, what kind of power do you have?”
“He doesn’t.” Mystique said appearing behind the girl noticing the girl had a bit different make-up on than before.
Ranma ran over and picked up his mother and the Wanda in an over the shoulder carry and jumped out of the way.
“Woah! Here we go again!” Again the ground shook as another crater was added to the yard where the ladies had just been.
“Not that I’m ungrateful, but you can remove your hand from my ass now.” Wanda said from Ranma’s shoulder.
“Oh, sorry.” Ranma blushed as he put the ladies down.
“Some days it just doesn’t pay to wear this outfit.” Mystique muttered hiking down her leather mini.
Ranma walked over to the crater to find the Blob was still conscious, but he didn’t get up nearly as fast as before. “Are we through or do you need more time to think about this?”
Blob backed to the other side of the crater waving his arms in negation, “No! I’m good. It’s OK.”
Mystique smiled, “Freddie, would you be a dear and bring the others over here? I have an announcement that concerns all of you.”
“Uh, yeah, ok.” Fred said and went to gather his unconscious teammates while Mystique went back inside and returned with a set of high tech shackles. She put these on Pietro’ ankles and wrists as Wanda looked on with absolutely no sympathy on her face. She then got out the garden hose and sprayed all of them to wake them up.
“What the hell?” cried Lance.
Pietro soon realized the predicament he was in. “Hey, what the hell is this? You can’t do this!”
“Looks like it’s already done, Speedy.” Ranma smirked.
Pietro struggled some more, “Wanda? Wanda, a little help here.”
“Hmm,” Wanda said thoughtfully, “How ‘bout ‘no’?”
“Listen up, because I want to make myself very clear.” Mystique said. “I want you all out of my house. Pack your bags and get out.” The Brotherhood was stunned into silence, though the spark of comprehension seemed to elude them. Mystique continued, “I’m not sure if you are aware, but I am breaking ties with Magneto especially now that he’s threatened my son. And since you seem pretty fond of following his orders, you four are no longer welcome here.”
“So, we gotta leave? Just like that?” asked Toad.
“You were the one who brought us here,” said Lance, “What are we suppose to do now?”
“I don’t wanna go back to the circus, again.” grumbled Blob.
“That is not my concern anymore. I am trough with Magneto and anything that goes along with him. That includes The Brotherhood.”
“Mom, wait.” Ranma said, “Can I talk to you for a second?” They moved a ways away, “Mom, if we let them loose, won’t they just go back to Magneto? I’m not sure I want these guys coming after us too.”
His mother nodded thoughtfully, “What do you suggest?”
“I don’t know yet. But at least let them stay, as long as they behave themselves.”
Mystique seemed to think about it for a moment, “If you are going to vouch for them then I expect you to be the one responsible for them. Just don’t let them destroy my house, or do I have to remind you of your fiance brigade?”
Ranma swallowed, “I’ll keep in line. Promise.”
Turning back to the Brotherhood Mystique said, “My son has proven his worth once again and convinced me to let you all stay for a while provided you can all behave yourselves. He will be watching you, of course.”
This was met with sighs of relief all around. “Hey wow.” “Thanks.” “You’re not such a bad guy after all.”
“Except for one,” she continued. “Pietro, you have shown an annoying amount of loyalty to your father in the past. I am very sure I can’t trust you not to follow your father’s orders in the future. So you will leave here and never come back.”
“You can’t do this!” he shouted.
“Of course, if any of you feel you would like to follow Quicksilver here, please feel free.” The other three boys shook their heads in unison as Wanda and Ranma looked on in amusement. “No, I didn’t think so.” She took out a remote and pressed a button.
The shackles fell off Pietro and he stood up slowly under the scrutiny of all those present. “You’ll pay for this. All of you.” He took of at high speed down the road.
“Well that was exciting, but I really need to sleep.” Ranma said.
That evening, the rest of the Brotherhood were in bed while Ranma and his mother, still on Japanese time, were in the kitchen preparing a snack.
“I’ve been thinking, Mom, ‘bout what you said.”
“And?”
