Ranma: Evolution: Brief Tour; Medical Horrors [Episode 115201]

by Matdeception

"Where we going?"

"I'm going to show you one of our closely guarded secrets." Xavier began, "You are aware that this is a school for mutants, what you are not aware of is that while our front is that of a school for gifted youngsters, our lower levels are used entirely for a different purpose."

Rolling up to a seemingly unassuming wall, Ranma was about to ask what the problem was, but the words died a quick death as the wooden wall shifted, moving back a tad, before sliding to the right, revealing a silver elevator. Frowning, he stare at the interior as Xavier, Logan, Jean, and Storm entered.

"Get in, kid." Logan grunted.

Frown only increasing slightly, the boy sigh. This was turning out to be some really cheesy James Bond flick, he freaken knew it. Looking up, he mouthed 'Why me?' before stepping into the elevator.

As the elevators closed, the wooden panel sliding back into place and completing it's disguise, Kurt let go of the roof, hitting the ground with a dull thud and a nervous frown on his face. "Jesus.. did he see?" He could swear the guy looked directly at him for a second. Weird.

Standing there for a moment, he continued to ponder what he had heard, and what he knew. He really couldn't understand what was being said, with them talking solely in Japanese, but the way the guy was acting had him on edge.

"Wonder what Rogue will say?" he grumbled.

*BAMF*

---

"No way." Kitty exclaimed, completely surprised, "You mean to tell me this guy could touch you?"

Rogue frowned. She hadn't wanted to tell Kitty anything, but the little vix could be so damn annoying until she got what she wanted. She also didn't like the way she said that, "It jus sarprise me, s'all." she shook her head, "He's Mystiques kid, only one that still likes her." That was no lie. Kurt didn't exactly hate the woman, but he didn't care for her all that much either. Her own feelings on her adopted mother resembled a dead dog. And Ranma.. well, the guy had to at least care for tha witch if he was gonna protect her from Magneto, eh?

Kitty hmmed, pacing around the room, thinking. "I don't remember hearing anything from the Professor about a new kid coming.."

"He only told Kurt an me." Rogue shrugged.

*BAMF*

"AIEEEEE!" Kitty startled badly when Kurt appeared directly in her walking path, barely managing to avoid a tumble and a tangle of limbs, she fell on her behind. "Owie.." she cried, more surprised then anything else.

"Oh! Kitty!" Kurt winced, "I didn't mean to scare you like that." he leaned down to help the girl up.

Kitty sighed, jumping to her feet, "It's okay." shaking away the last of her surprise.

Kurt nodded, honestly happy the girl wasn't mad at him. Zeroing in on Rogue, who had blandly watched the entire scene, he grinned, "Hey sis."

Rogue figured Kurt would be showing up sooner or later. Her admittance earlier to him while she was still shocked would have seen to it eventually, "What?"

"Just wondering what you thought of our brother?"

"You know what I think." she replied, evenly.

Kurt blinked. Oh yeah, he had forgotten all about Rogue's little meeting with him today, "Ah.. no, not really. You got to talk to him, didn't you?"

"Not rahlly."

"Oh.." he slumped a little. Damn. Hmmm. Wait a second... "Didn't you.." he blinked, "Yeah! You could touch him! What’s up with that?"

Rogue sighed. All she wanted was to be alone, but nooooooooo, nothing ever goes her way.

---

"As you can see Ranma, underneath the school we house state of the art equipment, primarily used for training the children in use of their mutant abilities." Xavier said as he lead the group down the hall.

Ranma nodded dumbly.

"The children will be down here later, to train in our self-styled 'Danger Room'. I'm sure you'll like to meet them."

"Eh.." he really wouldn't mind meeting some new people, but truth be told he was out of it. Jet lag, along with the freaky crap going on around here, not to mention worry for his mother, he was pretty tired. "Danger room? Was that?"

Xaiver hmmed, a slight and almost unnoticeable grin growing on his lips, "It's exactly as it's name implies. Through simulations, our youngsters deal with various circumstances designed to bring out team work, and hone there abilities. I suppose you could best describe it as a Dojo, but where your challengers come in varying sizes and difficulty, and are always available."

Ranma perked up. "Sounds like my kinda place."

"Maybe later." Xavier allowed as they stopped in front of a metal door, "First, that concludes the tour."

Ranma grunted, "What's next? Dinner?" he was pretty hungry, now that he thought about it.

The door swishing open, revealing a rather large medical bay with prominent needles and other assortments of painful medicine left him feeling uneasy. The lumbering hairy blue guy in a lab coat was weird, but what had him ready to run for the hills was the fact the hairy thing looked at him and smiled, "Oh! I wasn't expecting the patient so soon, Professor."

Nodding, Xavier waved towards the boy who even now was slowly trying to creep out of the room. He didn't have much luck, Logan was standing in his way and he didn't look ready to move. Not one iota. "This is Ranma. He'll need a complete entry level physical evaluation, shots, and the like. We weren't able to retrieve his school records from Japan, I'm afraid he'll need a complete work through."

"I hate you." Ranma glared at the lumbering oaf blocking his escape.

Logan smirked. If he had to go through the same shit when he first joined up, he'd be damned if any of the kids got out of it.
