Usagi grinned as she came awake.
It wasn't a nice grin, or a cheerful grin, or even a ditzy airhead grin; this was a boni fide EVIL GRIN. And for a moment, it seemed almost right seeing it there. Then the grin faded and the girl sat in contemplative mode. Summoning the silver crystal to her, she looked at it with greater respect than she had ever had previously. Now she had the true inheritance of the Silver Millennium.
The dreams last night had been vivid. Nothing like the previous months which were simply dreams, this had been a full fledged acquisition of memories and personalities. To put it simply, she had finally bonded with the crystal.
Now she had full knowledge of everything that pertained to the royal family, including some of its minor magical capabilities like shape shifting. Taking one glance at her still sleeping cat, Usagi slipped out from under the covers and headed for the bathroom. Luna would have a fit when she woke up, but it couldn’t be helped. She’d just have to live with it.
In the safe haven of the bathroom Usagi first stripped off her nightclothes before turning on the shower. While the water ran and began to heat up, she closed her eyes and shifted. Her form began to morph and flow into another entirely. When she opened her eyes again and looked in the full length mirror that hung on the wall she was gratified to see a fully male Usagi looking back at her. She grinned and shifted back to her original form before stepping into the shower.
Warm water cascaded down her back as she washed up. According to the crystal, no one could wield it unless they had a direct blood line back to the original creator. She paused in soaping up her hair, wondering which of her parents had contributed to the link.
