“I’m more fuel efficient than Blaster-honey, or Grimmy so I’m fine.” The Comanche replied. “So…how do you things will go over with your Mom?”
”That is…hard to say.” Ami bite her lip, “Mom has no clue about my duties as a Senshi, thusly it will be hard to get her to understand, much less swallow where the hell I’ve been for six months.” She had a bitter laugh over that, “six fucking months here while we spent twenty five years of traveling dimensions how ironic is that?”
”Well I hope things go well, I better book before somebody notices a military helicopter not of Japanese design is flying about.”
”Alright take care.”
”You too,” and then the Comanche was out of sight as she flew off.
Taking a breath to steady herself, Ami shed her Senshi costume, and took the stairway on the roof to the floor of the apartment her Mother and her lived on. Feeling her heartbeat quicken, she took her key (which was amazing enough she never lost it) and unlocked the door, stepping into the apartment. “M-Mom?”
There was no response; she slowly slid into the room. A slight fear that maybe her Mother no longer lived here began to overtake her, but it was squished as fast as it came when she saw the dozens of photo frames that held pictures of her Mother, Father and herself, plus the furniture was the same. She let out a sigh of relief, while it was obvious her Mother was out, she had not relocated so all she had to do was wait.
She softly padded to her room which she found was just as she left it. Her Mother had obviously kept it clean as there was no dust, and it smelled clean. Ami flopped onto her bed, not bothering to crawl under the covers as she closed her eyes to rest. “I missed my bed.” She murmured before blissful sleep took her.
Meanwhile, LightGate flew over the country side outside of the city. Her sensors picked up Grimlock’s location and she went down to where the Dinobot Commander and Grimlock were waiting for her. Transforming in midair to robot mode she landed on her feet with the grace of an acrobat and walked over to Grimlock. “Is the transmitter signal working?”
Grimlock who was sitting down with Blaster (still in boom box mode) beside him pointed to a spire-like device that was beeping. “If Prime sent Aerialbots or Skyfire to come get us this will let em’ know.”
The Female Transformer plopped down and popped a stiff joint. “So do you think the rest of the crew will accept me?”
”Me not think there be a problem.” The guff warrior replied. “I think we have more trouble telling them whole story of where we been without someone falling asleep on us or thinking we blow a logic circuit.”
“Point made.”
”Zzzt…Grim…zzt…lock…zzt Blaster, can you zzt…read me?”
Grimlock brought up his left arm, the communicator window popping open. “We read you Skyfire, can you read us?”
”Your transmission is a bit glitchy…zzt..but your pinpoint signal is strong enough for me to locate.”
“What your ETA?”
“How’s about right now grab you?” Was Skyfire’s reply.
Both Grimlock and LightGate’s optics blinked as they looked up; sure enough the large Autobot jet flew over them before touching down in a clearing nearby.
LightGate grabbed Blaster, as both Grimlock and her got to their feet and ran over to Skyfire as he let down his boarding ramp. “Me so glad to see your slagging mug.” Grimlock said as he climbed in and slumped down on his skidplate to rest.
“Who’s your new friend?” Skyfire asked as he shut the ramp-door and took off.
”Name’s LightGate, pleasure to meet’cha.” The female Autobot slumped down beside Grimlock. “And wake us up when we get there.” Her optics dimmed as she went into sleep mode and Grimlock did likewise.
”Boy, they must be exhausted.” Skyfire mused as he set a course for the Ark.
