"So you're Ranma Saotome," said Makoto. "THE Ranma Saotome of the Anything Goes School Of Indiscriminate Grappling."
"That sounds kinda hentai," complained Usagi.
"I am," said Ranma, uncomfortable with the scrutiny.
"'Kinda hentai'?" asked Minako, sounding hopeful.
Ranma gave her a flat look which communicated distaste.
"Ranma Saotome," said Makoto, reading from a magazine. "Practitioner and heir of his family style of martial arts - the Anything Goes Style Of Indiscriminate Grappling. Received excellent ratings in swordcraft and archery, baseline competency in firearms and general support skills. Above Excellent ratings in ninjitsu, goju ryu, hwarang do, and jeet kun do. Sword style Ishikawa and has been awarded the sacred blade Kusazen after placing third in the Blademaster Tournament three years ago."
"Third place?" said Minako, impressed.
"I was thirteen at the time," said Ranma, frowning slightly. "The other contestants had a significant advantage in size and reach."
"Knowledge of Chinese herbcraft, accupressure massage techniques, first aid," read off Makoto. "Says here no doxy license but that he's got... whoa."
"Uhm," said Ami, twiddling her fingers.
"So, I understand he's not full-use, but can't you have him go out with me?" asked Makoto. "At least one of those massages maybe?"
"I'm home," came a voice from the front door.
The various girls shifted uncomfortably as Ami's mother let herself in.
"Ah, good, you found her," said Doctor Mizuno. "Study session, dear?"
"...something like that," said Ami weakly, nervously glancing at Ranma. Okay, he was HER bodyguard and helper. On the other hand, it was her mother who held the contract and who was the authority as far as that went. If she demanded the truth from him, it was likely he'd spill the beans.
The Doctor was wondering why this boy had yoma demanding his contract be given up to them.
