PokéGirls Fighter's Edge: The Obsidian Gym Battle Rematch! [Episode 116487]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Ranma walked with a sense of pride and duty as he made his way through the main street of Obsidian City. He was a man with a mission. A man with a goal...

...A man some people would say had the Blood Curse of ‘Extremely High Stupidity’, considering he was going to fight the town’s Gym Leader again.

“Master! Why can’t I fight again?” Felicia whined by his side.

Ranma smiled at her. “Because I won’t have you getting hurt again, cutie,” Ranma said, hoping to appease the Catgirl.

The Catgirl pouted cutely. “But I’ll do better. Honest!”

Ranma smiled. “I know you’ll do better. But a Level 99 pokégirl is kind of out of your reach for the moment, so I won’t force you into battle with one.”

Felicia pouted some more but remained silent. Truth be told she didn’t want to fight against Leona ever again. She just wanted to prove to her master that she would fight for him no matter the odds. It was the least she could do after he proved to be so understanding.

It didn’t take long for Ranma and Felicia to reach the front gates of the Gym. Ranma was pushing it open, not minding the loud grinding noise the metal hinges made. As the day before they found the garden to be empty.

Ranma nodded. “I wonder if he takes care of it himself of if he has servants,” He wondered before closing the door. Catching sight of the Dojo, Ranma nodded. “Let’s go.”

Felicia nodded and kept pace with her tamer, all the while looking around nervously. The last time she was here she didn't leave on her own power.

Getting to the Dojo doors, Ranma just pushed them open, storming into the place without a care. “HEY!” Ranma called out into the darkness. “You here, Yagami?”

As if to answer Ranma’s question, a purple flame appeared on the other side of the dark dojo, bathing the walls and floor in dancing purple light yet at the same time keeping the illumination low enough not to really make out anything. In a matter of seconds the fire seemed to move through the floor before reaching the center of the room, where it ignited a pyre of wood. Soon enough the entire dojo was illuminated.

Standing casually the now revealed Iori smirked at Ranma.

Ranma responded with a smirk of his own. “I’m back!”

The redheaded man continued to smirk coldly. “What do you want?”

“What else?” Ranma asked. “I’m here for a rematch!”

“So soon?” Iori questioned with a raised eyebrow. “Come back in a couple of decades when your pokégirl is at least a decent workout for Leona.”

Felicia hissed angrily at the implied insult.

Raising a hand, Ranma shook a finger at Iori. “Don’t be so quick to judge.” He smiled. “I’m not here to battle with Felicia.”

Iori chuckled and turned to the side, a dark corner. “Leona.”

The pokégirl raised her head to look at her master, the only thing giving away her position was her greenish-blue eyes shimmering from the light of the pyre. She then walked out into view of the two Pokégirl Tamers. “Master.”

“Our visitor from yesterday says he has another toy for you,” Iori casually said.

Leona smiled a little. “How nice of him. I thought it was well known I tend to break my toys...” She said off-handedly.

Iori turned back to Ranma. “One-on-one fight.”

Ranma nodded. “Agreed.”

With a nod of his head, Iori motioned for Leona to walk forward and, as the day before, remained back and out of the battle.

Leona did as commanded. Standing there, she went through perfect timed movements, her dog-tags necklace being used as a band to braid her long strands of blue hair into a ponytail.

Nodding his head, Ranma looked at Iori. “My turn?”

Iori nodded slightly.

“Okay then...” Ranma held up his PokéBall and twirled it for a moment. He then tossed it with great speed towards the arena with a cry of, “Morrigan! I Screw You!”

A very sensual woman, even for Pokégirl standards, appeared in the dojo and made a sexy pose. “Hi,” She drawled huskily.

Leona for once was speechless not because she wanted to remain quiet. The hair. The outfit. That couldn’t be.

Even Iori did a double take. “Is that...?”

Morrigan Aenslade smirked broadly and charged at Leona, taking advantage of the fact the other Pokégirl was off-balance.

Leona, for the first time in a long while, had the air knocked out of her lungs in a battle outside of sparring with her Tamer.

Morrigan grinned in glee and started beating the shit out of Leona. Leona grit her teeth as she felt pain. Her thigh, across her right cheek. Her side. Yeah, a lower rib just cracked there.

Iori recovered from the surprised and frowned dangerously. He took a couple of steps forward and barked out, “Leona! Attention!”

At her master’s call, her eyes snapped to attention. She shot her hand out and grabbed the Succubus by the wrist and then head-butted her.

Morrigan’s eyes crossed and her vision darkened at the savage blow. As strong as she was, and even with the advantage she had at first, there was still a thirty levels difference between Pokégirls. She was lucky to even be awake after that single blow.

Leona then went to head-butt the other pokégirl again.

“Morrigan! Evade!” Ranma shouted, hoping Morrigan got the hell out of the way.

Morrigan stepped to the side and jumped back. Or tried to at least, since Leona still had a hold of her wrist and she found she couldn't break it. The Succubus kicked at Leona’s side with all of her strength to try and get free.

Leona winced. That kick didn't hurt as much as it would have since she mentally braced for it, but she STILL had a cracked rib to deal with. Oh, she’d get her for that. “You want me to let go?” She asked with a wicked grin.

Morrigan got a nervous look on her face at the expression Leona was giving her. “Um... Yes?”

Nodding her head, Leona grabbed onto Morrigan’s wrist with her other hand as well and began spinning. She had Morrigan in a Seismic Toss!

The main thought going through Morrigan’s head at that particular moment was how much that fall was going to hurt.

And indeed it did. As Leona finally let go, Morrigan went flying and hit a wall at speeds over 100 mph.

Morrigan rebounded off the wall, then rebounded a couple of times on the ground and finally laid still. She groaned in pain.

Leona stood there and crossed her arms over her chest. “She’s done.”

“The ‘neo-legendary’ Morrigan,” Iori commented. “Doesn’t seem like much from here.”

Although he didn’t know the stories behind her, Ranma nodded in agreement. Her personality had already given him enough clue to her. “Yeesh... You really were all talk, huh Morrigan?”

Morrigan’s eyes snapped open and twitched violently. “... What!?”

Ranma nodded. “Well, she’s kinda beating you...” He said in a matter-of-fact manner... Since it really did seem to be the case.

The eye-twitching only got worse as Morrigan started to get up shakily. Blows that would break limbs she could take. Wounded pride was out of the question!

“You want more?” Leona asked in surprise as she got back into a ready stance.

Morrigan got into a shaky stance and started to gather energy around her, a fierce glare on her face.

Iori frowned. Leona had taken too much damage without retaliation at the start of the match. If Morrigan did something bit then Leona was in trouble.

Leona frowned. She concentrated and started to use the Rock Defense of ‘Harden’. Immediately, the texturing of her skin became denser, and would remain such for a little while.

Ranma looked on in awe. Just what was Morrigan doing?

The Succubus thrust her hands forward and the glow encompassing her body gathered there. Her eyes sparked with energy as she let out a battle cry, just before all that energy was shot at Leona.

Leona’s eyes widened. No way she could dodge all that energy. And she was beginning to doubt Harden would help at all. So raising her arms to cover her face, all Leona could do was brace for impact as she was enveloped in the energy attack.

Iori narrowed his eyes.

Felicia was staring at Morrigan in shock. The Succubus was actually about to win!

Leona’s body trembled under the constant onslaught. The energy just kept coming and coming. Wasn’t this Ghost-type supposed to run out!?

And then she couldn’t take it anymore. Losing her grounding, the G-Splice let out a roar of defiance as she was sent flying back and into and THROUGH a wall.

Morrigan gritted her teeth and fell to her knees completely exhausted. If that didn’t defeat Leona then she was done for.

And then Morrigan felt the last of her energy reserves hit her. She had to stop less she lose consciousness.

Morrigan took a shaky breath and tried to will the world to stop spinning.

Ranma just started at Morrigan with newfound respect. Seeing her standing there in apparent victory...

Iori turned to the hole on the wall and called out, “Leona, come out now.”

The rubble began to shimmer a little, and shake before literally exploding outwards to give way to the reemerging G-Splice.

Iori nodded and examined the damage done to Leona.

Leona stood there shakily, her hair loose. She was dirty from head to toe, and her outfit, while still in pretty good condition, looked strained to stay together.

Growling, Leona took a step towards Morrigan...

Felicia stared at Leona in horror.

And another step...

Ranma stared. No way! How was this girl still standing!?

And another...

And another...

Leona closed the distance between her and Morrigan. The Level 99 pokégirl had her hands on the Succubus's shoulders. Leona gripped tightly as she stared into her eyes.

Morrigan stared with wide eyes at Leona, unable to comprehend how Leona was still standing.

She didn’t have to think for long. After a few moment’s of just standing there, Leona’s grip slackened. The blue-haired pokégirl’s eyes rolled to the back of her head and she passed out; crumpling into a heap at Morrigan’s booted feet.

Iori nodded in resignation. He was intimately aware of just how much damage Leona could take.

A smile erupted on Ranma’s face. “Morrigan!” He shouted as he ran over to the Succubus, grabbing her in a hug and twirling her in the air at arms-length. “YOU WON!”

“Ouch! Ouch!! Ouch!!! Watch it, you dick!” Morrigan moaned in pain as her body protested the treatment.

Ranma winced a little. “Sorry.” He then gently set Morrigan down on her feet. He was just so excited she did what she said she would that he just leaned over and kissed her cheek.

Morrigan smirked. “Fuck that!” She pulled Ranma in for a soul-searching kiss.

“Hey!” Felicia protested from the side.

Ranma was surprised, but couldn’t help but return the kiss.

“Felicia seethed in jealously, but kept herself from acting on it. Tamers were supposed to have more than one Pokégirl after all.”

Ranma looked over at Iori and smiled a little. “Looks like my pokégirl beat yours.”

Iori snorted and reached into his pockets casually. “It was luck and you know it.”

At those words, Ranma became serious. “... You’re right,” Ranma said as he held out his hand. “Which is odd, considering how, sans getting Felicia and Morrigan, my luck has been rather crappy.”

Iori looked at Morrigan and chuckled demeaningly. “I expected more.”

Ranma frowned. “I think she did pretty well for herself.”

Morrigan glared at Iori when the redhead laughed. He obviously differed with Ranma's opinion. “Why you!”

“Ranma gently placed a hand on Morrigan’s shoulder. “Easy now. You’re in no more condition to fight today.” He then winked at her. “We’ll get you to a PokéCenter and you’ll be as good as new, though.”

“As pathetic as that is,” Iori quipped and walked over to Leona’s downed form. He looked down at her and kicked her lightly with his boot. “Wake up.”

The pokégirl didn’t budge. She as out cold.

Ranma frowned. It didn’t seem right to kick and downed opponent. And worse when he figured that Iori practically owned her.

Iori shrugged and took his hand out of his pocket. He then threw something directly at Ranma’s face.

Fortunately for Ranma, his skills were still honed. He raised his palm and closed his fingers around said object. Turning his palm upward, he opened his hand and looked at it. It was a badge that looked like a silver crescent moon on a backing that looked like a solid, flat piece of obsidian rock. “Wow.”

Iori leaned down and picked up Leona's unconscious form. “Even a monkey gets lucky once in a while.”

While he didn’t act upon instincts that called for battle, Ranma still frowned at those words. He began to pin the badge on the outside of his arm bracer. “Well, see ya’ around then,’ He said to Iori before turning to his pokégirls. “Come on, Morrigan, Felicia. Let’s get back to the PokéCenter. We'll get you two healed up and get some lunch.”

Felicia beamed. “Thank you, Master!”

Morrigan nodded tiredly. “That sounds good.”

Ranma smiled. “Okay then, it’s settled. Let’s go!” He said as he motioned towards the door.

“Hold,” Iori commanded and both Pokégirls were startled by the steel in his voice.

Stopping in his step, Ranma turned to look at the redheaded Gym Leader. “What? Did I forget to do something?”

“Who are you?” Iori asked severely.

A cocky smiled appeared on Ranma’s lips. “I am Ranma Saotome, heir to the Saotome School of Anything Goes Marital Arts,” He said with an exaggerated bows.

And yes, he meant MARITAL. No one really heard martial arts anymore, so Dr. Light suggested he call it marital arts instead of martial.

“Hmph. A pathetic tamer with the luck to have a legendary Succubus,” Iori mused and looked at Ranma seriously. “Be here tomorrow in the morning.” He ordered.

Ranma raised an eyebrow. “All right...” He said seriously. “I’ll be here tomorrow morning.”

Iori snorted and turned on his heels. He walked off with Leona in his arms, disappearing into the darkness of a hall. The last thing visible was the crescent moon on his back.

Felicia shuddered. “That guy gives me the creeps.”

Nodding his head in agreement, Ranma moved a hand to rub Felicia’s back to soothe her. “I know what you mean.”

Morrigan slumped and looked at Ranma pleadingly. “Can we go to the PokéCenter now?” She really needed a nap.

Ranma nodded his head. “Of course we can.”

Felicia helped Morrigan, though the two Pokégirls obviously had issues to resolve among themselves, and they followed Ranma out of the dojo.

And so Ranma lead the way as he and his two pokégirls left the Gym grounds.
