"Great grandmother, I'm back from training," Shampoo announced in her native tongue as she entered the house she was born and raised in. It had been a hard day of training with the other young warriors of the village. Even if she didn't like admitting it her training suffered with all the time she spent chasing after Ranma in Japan. While it was true she employed her skills in a regular basis and had a lot more experience under her belt the other warriors kept up with the rigorous regimen of the village. The gap between the purple-haired girl and her fellow Amazons had become very small.
"How did training go, great granddaughter?" Cologne asked as she entered the room from the kitchen. The old woman looked as decrepit as two years ago, and it was obvious she retained every bit of her inner strength.
"The village is in good hands." It had only been a couple of months since Shampoo's generation was assigned the duty of scouting the nearby lands, duty that was usually responsibility of the youngest warriors.
"Has Mousse stopped pestering you?" Cologne asked mostly to make conversation. She knew the myopic fighter would never leave Shampoo alone. It was even less likely after Ranma died.
Shampoo sighed and sat down as if the weight of the world was on her shoulders. "Why won't he take the hint that I don't love him?"
Cologne raised an eyebrow. "Maybe because you've never seriously hurt him when he tries something with you, Shampoo." It amazed her how patient Shampoo could be with Mousse. She had every right to maim the master of hidden weapons for his antics and the Amazon society wouldn't look down on her actions, yet she didn't.
The purple-haired girl shook her head and decided to change the subject to a safer one. "Did Lotion cry again today?"
Cologne sighed and nodded her head. "Your daughter has been restless. Our best healers have found nothing wrong with her."
Both Amazons remained silent after that, worried about the fate of the latest addition to their family. While Shampoo was worried over Lotion's crying fits, Cologne had a feeling that things would change.
And not necessarily for the best.
