And that was another thing that got to Hotaru. While she wasn’t much of a meat-eater before, she certainly found herself anxious to dig into the ground hamburger that the Senshi of Lightning and Plants was cooking.
Blinking her eyes, Makoto slowly stopped what she was doing as she caught sound of a noise. Turning her head back, she asked, “Hotaru?”
“Yes, Makoto?” Hotaru answered as she studied the older girl, her tail still wagging.
Chuckling a little, Makoto told Hotaru, “You’re panting...” She smirked. “And drooling.
Blinking her eyes once, twice, thrice, Hotaru caught herself. Raising a hand to her lower chin, she felt that, yes, the lower half of her muzzle was wet. The girl blushed, although her fur did a good job at hiding it. “Sorry, Makoto-san.”
Shaking her head good-naturedly, Makoto told Hotaru, “Relax. It’s okay.” She giggled. “I guess getting spliced makes you more like an animal than just looks, huh?”
Hotaru nodded her head. “Yeah. It’s so amazing. I’ve never felt so good or free before.” Her tail began wagging again. “And I have to admit, it has other perks.”
“Oh?” Makoto asked, as she turned back to Hotaru. “Like what?”
“Well...” Hotaru started. “I stopped for ice-cream on the way home. I had enough for a rather nice sundae.” She murred a little. “Three scoops of chocolate ice-cream, bananas, chocolate, caramel, and marshmallow syrups.”
Blinking her eyes, Makoto said, “That doesn’t sound like anything out of the ordinary.”
Hotaru nodded. “It wasn’t. But...” The wolf-girl murred. “It was heaven...”
Raising an eyebrow, Makoto asked, “Heaven?”
The wolf-girl had a far-off look in her eyes as she explained, “It was incredible. Everything tasted so rich. So intense. So... New...” Hotaru murred lightly. “The sweetness was greater than any other sugar-rush before.”
Makoto smirked at that statement. What was it with kids and sweets? Hmm... She’d probably have to ask their current junk-food binger, Usagi the answer on that one.
Still murring, Hotaru then mumbled, “And the other stuff on it was pretty darn good too...” The young wolf-girl’s murring became louder.
Now Makoto was becoming further interested. “Like what?”
A grin split across Hotaru’s muzzle as she answered, “Bacon bits.”
Blinking her eyes, Makoto stared at the younger Senshi. “Bacon bits?”
Nodding quite happily, Hotaru said, “And dog biscuits!”
Makoto just gawked at the younger girl. “Dog biscuits!?”
“Uh-huh!” Hotaru said as she gave a firm nod of her head. “Mmm... It was so tasty, Makoto! I’ll never go without a yummy meat product anywhere again.” Hotaru blinked her eyes as she realized Makoto was still staring at her. “Makoto-san?”
“Yes, Hotaru?” The pony tailed brunette answered back in a mumble.
“You’re drooling,” Hotaru pointed out.
“Huh?” Makoto mumbled as she wiped her chin. Crap. She was starting to drool.
Still staring at Makoto, Hotaru spoke up. “Makoto-san? Can I say something?”
Hearing that, Makoto shook her head. “Well that happens when one’s jaw gets disconnected,” She mumbled in annoyance, trying to explain her actions.
Shaking her head, Hotaru said, “No, not that.”
Now Makoto had to look at Hotaru questioningly. “Not that?” At seeing the other Senshi shake her head, Makoto asked, “Then what?”
“The food’s on fire,” Hotaru pointed.
“What!?” Makoto turned to look back at the store. The burger was starting a grease fire! “WAAAAAAAAAGH!”
“Hota-Hotaru, looking for you! Hota-Hotaru where are you?”
“Oh, damn it! Don’t you start that again, Setsuna!”
