Sayoko turned around and tensed. There was something familiar about that voice, but, turning around she didn't recognize the speaker at all. Of course, said speaker was a heavy-furred skunk that was slinking up to her with all the subtle sexuality of a corner streetwalker.
"I was considering just why anybody would fall in for such a ridiculous idea," Sayoko said.
"Fine," Mara said, shrugging. "Fall behind the times. Be yesterdays news. I'm all with you, Plain Jane." With each comment, Sayoko had more difficulty repressing the developing twitch.
"Now," the skunk said. "Catch you later, I've got to go give my drooling massese some attention."
And with that word, the skunkette walked off into a mass of rapt onlookers that Sayoko could almost swear weren't there before. The sudden appearance, however, was dwarfed by one all-important detail:
There was a swarm of rapt onlookers...
...and they WEREN'T raptly paying attention to HER!
"Eww," someone said in English, Sayoko turned to see another skunkette, though a much more tasteful individual. "She's going to give us skunks a bad name."
"Don't worry about it, Sabrina, this is a vacation, not a stress-fest," the squirrel next to her said with a somewhat off-handed expression. "Now, we're supposed to meet the guys in an hour, shall we do some shopping?"
As the two furs walked past Sayoko, the "Queen of Nekomi Tech" watched a number of male eyes following them.
They weren't even trying to be sexy. They were just dressed in normal clothes and acting in normal ways and they were getting more attention their her.
Sayoko fumed. She just couldn't bear it a second longer.
She clicked her heals and turned about to walk into Kitsune Beauty.
