Only in the last few years, original terran designs slowly made their way into EarthForce and Space Partol. Designs like the Arc Royal class battlecarrier for example. The one mile long Arc Royal class was designed to fill a gap in the fleet, the lack of a dedicated carrier. Sure, the Arc Royal class packed quite a punch, mainly plastrons and the smaller ion cannon variant the Monsoon class used, but she also carried 4 Carrier Air Wings, mainly consisting of the fighter designs like the VF-11 Thunderbolt. Up to date EarthForce had 5 of these Arc Royal carriers in their battle groups.
One of these Battle groups, around the Carrier Prototype the 'Arc Royal', was currently on active patrol duty, after President Ryan put the system on DefCon 3. It's route followed a very elliptic orbit and at the moment she was on her way from Earth orbit to Mars Orbit, not far away from the course, McLane and the Salurian ship took.
Of cause the 'Arc Royal' had some of her flights in space to fly Air Control. One of the flights on Air Control duty was the 'Red Devils', sixteen VF-11 Thuderbolts and one VE-6 Eagle Eye. The VE-6 was a dedicated AWACS craft, build by Messerschmitt Bölkow Blohm, MBB, and shaped like the first Stage of the projected Säger II space plane, with a large twenty five meter sensory Rotodom on top. And with its very sensorive sensors the Eagle Eye was able to spot a single ping following McLane and the Salusian ship in 5 million kilometers distance.

"'Arc Royal' is listening, Eagle Eye."
"'Arc Royal', we noticed a single contact, bearing 113-122-310, distance three million klicks, following System Patrol Group Alpha Three."
"Roger that, Eagle Eye. - You are ordered to investigate the contact. 'Arc Royal' out."
"Affirmative 'Arc Royal', Eagle Eye 4 out."
With that the 'Red Devils' and Eagle Eye 4 moved to intercept the unknown contact.

Lieutenant Generi was deep in thought, while piloting his Leo, not looking on his sensory readouts.
His orders came directly from the ONI and had stated that he was to follow the Salusian spaceship 'Salusias Grace' and find out what Jerkoff was up to. Generi had stared to follow the 'Grace' just outside of Salusian space and followed her into this solar system. When he had looked into the star charts, he noticed that this system had it's own Zardon-like native race and that they were on the beginning of their way into space.
Before the last conflict between Zardon and Salusia had changes some of the local political map and the whole space around this system had become strategically interesting, even if it was uncharted. Of cause Jerkoff would like to get his fingers onto this system, get the natives into the Conglomerate and abuse them in one way or another. Generi felt pity as he had thought about what the natives would go through in the future.
At least until a group of ships had appeared and intercepted the 'Garce'. He had seen that pirate assault and what happened. Monitoring communication of the 'Grace' he had learned that the group of ship were NATIVES, instead of someone else. He had continued to follow the 'Grace', like ordered and seen everything on the 'Panorama Route'. The station around Saturn, the 'Quantum' and the large Geodome on Mars.
Now he was really creeped out and wondered if he should get back home and give the data of his sensors to the ONI.
His thoughts were interrupted as his proximity alert started to howl. He swallowed as he saw the seventeen blimps on his sensors and instantly knew that he was in deep shit.
