It still wouldn't change the fact that she would want to cuddle up with him in a way that would possibly freak him out and give Akane reason to be angry, but she knew that she'd have to restrain herself. To do otherwise would risk screwing things up so that she wouldn't even have what she had at the moment, and she surprised herself by the emotional response that brought up. The immediate rise of fear and anxiety over imagining herself losing her relationship with Ranma was something that she knew would keep her from immediately freaking everyone out. It would be challenging to not approach him as any young woman would to a young man she was attracted to, but she knew that she would do it. After all, the price of failure wasn't something that she wanted to pay.
Which made her give a soft snort, as she sat on the bed and brought her knees up to her chest. It was amazing to think that the woman who'd wanted so much to keep Ranma away from the Senshi was now trying to stay with him herself. That was likely a lot of Svetlana's influence, though she did have to admit that she wasn't totally blameless either. Guarding the Time Gate was a lonely thing, and she had to forgo being a woman for her responsibilities. So the idea of having someone to not only be physically attracted to, but to care for and have an emotional attachement was something appealing.
Still, she knew that even with her new situation, she would have to manipulate things. People would need to be guided into seeing her differently, and she would need the chance to hopefully show Ranma her true feelings sometime in the future, but both would take work on her part to do.
Oddly enough, the concept that she might have to manipulate those around her seemed rather... distasteful now.
She sighed, and laid down as she looked up at the cieling, knowing that this was going to be a whole new path for both Sveltana and Setsuna.
And it would be one that she faced with a mixture of anxiety and anticipation.
