Of the springs of Jusenkyo, the one whose story was considered most tragic by a small, nearly extinct village was the spring of drowned Cain-jin demon hunter. Nearly two-hundred thirty-three and seventy-six-hundredths years ago the Cain-jin committed suicide by drowning himself in the pool to atone for killing the family that had taken him in. Quite too late, about five seconds, the villagers had found out that a demon had killed the family in such a way that the hunter would think that he himself had committed the crime and kill himself in atonement. He would have succeeded if he had not ripped out another spring of Jusenkyo trying to find the spring that Cocytus had killed himself in.
The soul of Jusenkyo decided to make the arrogant demon’s punishment two fold. He fell in the spring of drowned Young Girl, had his teleport screwed with, and Jusenkyo was going to see to the resurrection of the Cain-jin. Since the mucked-up teleport put the once demon in the heart of a big group of Shikima, one could say that Jusenkyo got three fold vengeance that day.
The resurrection of Cocytus took a long time for one reason. Jusenkyo ,rather logicly, assumed that the undead state of Flesh Fiend was caused by his suicide, so Jusenkyo had to wait to find a person who was chaotic enough t be absorbed into the Cain-jin and bring him back to life. Ranma, sadly, was the first person in nearly two-hundred thirty-three and seventy-six-hundredths years to come into Jusenkyo that possessed the requisite level of innate chaos.
For his part, Cocytus did not notice anything until his once again living body had started to react to Ranma’s body. Ranma for his part felt nothing. Cocytus became aware that he had killed an innocent again when the Memories came flooding in. He hated killing any human that was neither a rapist nor murderer, and the Memories indicated nothing of the kind. So it was perfectly reasonable for the newly living to announce his return to life with a scream fit for one of the damned.
