This was a world with a very low number of males per female. That was something of a prerequisite for the slavery situation that the Genie Mihoshi had been looking for. It was also a world with a low birthrate in general. As a result, very few boys actually went to school. There usually weren’t enough of them concentrated in one area to make having a school with classes and such worthwhile. Being male made one an automatic aristocrat of sorts. A male’s only job was to do his best to keep that birthrate from dropping even further. They received a government stipend simply for existing and bonuses for every child they sired. With skill, intelligence, and work that could be used as the seed money for greater wealth, but that ability was what one looked for in a wife or managerial slave. A man’s responsibility was to have sex as often as his constitution allowed and anything else in his life was more of a hobby than a job.
Boys were home schooled or paired with a private tutor. Their education focused on social skills, physical education, and then the two combined as sex ed with live examples and fieldtrips. Girls went to school as they were expected to deal with the business of making things work, running businesses, managing finances, etc. This did not mean men were utterly ignorant. They received the basics of reading, math, history, and science, but were usually the equivalent of two to four grades behind the girls. Self-study was encouraged and many bright boys became brilliant and often eccentric inventors, artists, scientists, authors, or the like. There had been a magical renascence a few centuries ago, so that list included brilliant and eccentric wizards and the real mad scientist types who didn’t make the distinction between magic and tech. If a man was good at doing something useful he would have a staff and/or a stable of slaves to take care of the boring details like keeping notes, finding applications, and finding buyers. The mediocre or inept were allowed to putter about happily and kept from hurting themselves or others. The brilliant ones often needed some caretakers on that last point as well.
In Tenchi’s case, his stepmother Reia had taken care of the basics on the 3r’s and he had spent a fair amount of time training with his grandfather. Grandfather had also instructed him in the classics and history, with some emphasis on the Masaki family history. His father had been an excellent tutor on how to fulfill his primary responsibility to society. At his grandfather’s insistence, Tenchi would also spend a day or two each week with one of the local experts in some subject to learn from them as they worked.
Today he was with Natsumi-sensei, eccentric genius of conjuration. As a conjurer, he could call forth objects from nowhere and summon spirits from beyond. No one outside his immediate family had seen his eyes in years, hidden as they were under an impenetrable drape of hair. It was rumored he no longer had eyes, just portals to other worlds. His son Ryunosuke was the proud owner of an incredibly energetic Bakeneko that Natsumi-sensei had called forth and branded as a year’s end present. The pink and perky sex kitten could usually be found playing ‘tag’ with adult males (or females, she wasn’t picky) of the community while her young master was in school. Tenchi cursed his luck for having missed her on the way here.
Over the last year, Tenchi had come to suspect that the intent of sending him to the conjurer’s house wasn’t so much exposure to the mystic arts as exposure to the dangers of eccentric geniuses and how to cope with them. Grandfather had given one of his wisdom-of-the-ages proclamations that he should, “learn not just about things but about people as well.” The doctor’s wife Akiko had been an inspired instructor in this respect. She was a genius herself at artfully deflecting her husband down harmless paths while stroking his ego and still managing the local branch of SERENITY ltd. (Which it just so happened was also the repository and source of much of the Masaki clan fortune.) Tenchi was an introspective person by nature, and under other conditions might have had some insights into this behavior and relationship as a microcosm of his society. Right now, however, he was horny enough to fuck a tree, and not the kind with a dryad. Tenchi focused on the people in the room with him with an almost disturbing intensity.
Currently, the mighty Natsumi Kyusaku was demonstrating the previously mentioned dangers of eccentric genius, and Akiko was currently in Edo to handle the finances for the slaves Grandpa was buying. Tenchi’s hormone-flushed, and blood-deprived brain romped briefly through imagined visions of Grandpa’s new harem, then grounded itself once again on two of his sensei’s other slaves. Tempestuous Arisa floated naked and spread-eagle in midair above a glowing circle. Her dark hair flailed a bit as she tried to cajole her master in an increasingly emphatic voice. “Why do you want to summon a Sploogegoeth anyway Master? They always get goo all over the place and spend so much time trying to sell you discount succubae you can never get a word in edgewise. And you should use Kyoko for this anyway. I still walk funny from the Heavily Hung Hermaphrodite from Hades you had in here last week. Mistress Akiko won’t be happy with this Master. Master? Master? Yoo-Hoo Master!” Kyoko held the mystic scrolls for her master to read, and had also shed her dress in an attempt to distract him with her charms. The adorable redhead’s charms held charm for Tenchi, but the Doctor was in full obsessive-obliviousness mode and responded with, “Move your breast Kyo-chan. I need to read this part.” He must have gotten a good set of orgasms that morning. Tenchi was SO jealous.
Time for a plan to get some good loving. Tenchi would…
