Moon and Makendo: At The Great Kendo Teacher Named Bob [Episode 119886]

by Disruptor

Mai and Hikari led Usagi to the dojo where Mai was staying.

Usagi asked, "Don't you live with your parents?"

"Special training," Mai answered. "I'm the star apprentice of the great, at least that's what is being said about him, Kendo Teacher Osaki Yoritomo."

"Oh."

Mai smiled a bit. "It's only temporary. And, I do see my parents every Sunday for the family outing."

Usagi just nodded and followed her new friends. After a bit, they arrived at the dojo that Usgai had spotted earlier.

"Here we are," Mai said.

Hikari went over to a small building and pulled out a strange looking sword. The entire thing, save for the gold oriental dragon acting as the point, was painted like a red and white candy cane.

Holding the sword up, Hikari made a sad face. "I really wish I could carry this with me to school."

Usagi blinked. "Why do you want to carry a sword to school?"

Mai shook her head and answered for Hikari. "It's not a real sword. It is just a magic tailsman that allows Hikari to transform into Makendo 2. Sort of like how my golden luck cat allows me to transform into Makendo."

Mai pulled a small golden statue out of her handbag and showed it to Usagi. She shrugged, as she turned the tiny statue over in her hand.

"I can conceal my transformation talisman. But if I need to tranform, I need to have a bokken in hand."

Hikari added, "If I could conceal this, I wouldn't bug sis about being a super-heroine."

Before anyone could say anything else, a blue skinned man with green curly hair and wearing a tan trenchcoat came out of the dojo.

"It's nice to see you again Hikari," the man said and looked over at Mai and Usagi. "Who's your friend, Mai?""

Mai looked at the sky and grinned mischevously. "Sensei Osaki, this is Tsukino Usagi."

"Mai! Remember to call me Bob or Doro," the man replied sharply and then turned to Usagi. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Usagi. I am Mai's Kendo Sensei."

Usagi looked at Mai and asked, "Can I trust him?"

Mai replied with a wicked grin, "He's a blue skinned, green haired, alien cop who turns school girls into magical girls and runs a used car lot. Of course you can't trust him."

Bob stared at Mai coldly. "Mai, I don't know how many times I have told you that no one likes a smart-aleck."

Mai just smiled impishly. Her smiled faded after a few seconds and, she gave a long sigh.

"Bob? This is a little more serious than normal?" Mai said, motioning for everyone to sit down.

The four of them sat down around a picnic table that was stationed outside the dojo. Mai quickly told Bob what Usagi had told her about the Sailor Senshi and what had happened. Bob shook his head sadly at what he heard. He looked at Usagi keenly.

"You are Sailor Moon. The Sailor Senshi that uses the various weapons, right?"

Usagi nodded. "If you are talikng about the Cutie Motion Rod and the Moonlight Sceptre, yes."

Bob rubbed his index finger along the side of his nose. "I'd like to borrow the one that is less powerful for a little bit."

"I'll have to transform first."

Bob turned his back and waited. Usagi transformed into Sailor Moon and pulled the weapon that she had recieved shortly after the Doom Tree arrived out of subspace. Before Usagi could say a word, Bob turned around and looked at the sceptre intently.

Sailor Moon asked, "Why do you want this?"

Bob replied, "You have seen Hikari's transformation talisman. It is large and hard to conceal. Most of your weapons seem to vanish and reappear."

"Sailor Mercury said that we stored weapons and some other stuff in a subspace pocket."

"Exactly. I intened to study that weapon and give both Mai and Hikari the ability to store stuff in subspace. For Hikari, it will be her talisman. For Mai, a bokken. That way, they can be prepared for any other evil threats that might endanger this area. "

Putting the sceptre down on the table, Sailor Moon asked, "How long will it take you to do all that?"

Bob picked the sceptre up. "Barring any unforseen difficulties... tomorrow. You have it back tomorrow."

Sailor Moon stared. "Are you sure?"

Bob nodded. "Both talismans are here. And, I do have to adjust talismans for different worlds. By the way, you might want to change back. If you'll pardon me, I think I need to make a phone call."

The three girls looked at each other and then at Bob in confusion.

Bob smiled. "I'm calling Usagi's parents and letting them know their little girl is all right and that she is going to be staying here for the night. Because, I don't think she'll make it home before nightfall. The sun is very low on the horizion. I'll also make sure that you get to your school on time."

Bob stood up and headed back into the dojo. Mai led Hikari and Usagi to the guest rooms at the dojo. Before Mai left Usagi's room, Usagi spoke up.

"Mai? Thank you for listening and being there," Usagi said.

Mai just nodded and left the room.

As Mai headed to her bedroom, she thought, 'Great. Just great. I'm now going to have to transform and wear that silly costume, because of two idiots that don't know the meaning of the words loyalty and teamwork.'
