Nanto Rokusei Ken, specifically Nanto Suicho Ken. Southern Cross Waterfowl Fist.
He'd learned a few things and then faced this guy Shin, he hadn't been ready for that fight. He hadn't been ready for the sheer seriousness of a true life-or-death confrontation.
He'd met Hotaru, who had saved his life with her healing talent. Some kind of chi technique, but not one he'd had any success duplicating.
He'd picked up a bit of the Nanto Suicho Ken and expanded it. He'd heard at one point that a true master of the style, some guy named Rei, had died.
Whatever. He'd also run into this place in the mountains. Hokumon No Ken. He could tell that was an incomplete style though.
Wherever he went he also heard about a "man with seven scars" sometimes called Kenshiro. Some stories had him as a villain. Some as a person who fought righteously. He wasn't too sure what to make of him, but he was apparently the practitioner of Hokuto Shin Ken, which was the style Hokumon No Ken was based on.
Ranma simply drove, the modified dune buggy running on alcohol - easier to come by in this time. His two companions were in back, asleep. Hotaru, the healer who had apparently wanted to be a nurse at one point. And-
